Is ORB any good?

lackoo1111: Flotilla $6.00

Oh, cool. Flotilla looks promising, reminds me Homeworld. Anyone tried it yet?

At least Steam takes the effort into NOT making me realize there's a sale I can't participate in. There's nothing on the main page promoting the sale because my country is excluded. In D2D only after you've gotten to the game's page do you realize your money is unwanted and you end up cursing regional restrictions.

Wolfox: Is ORB any good?

For its age, it is a very good space RTS game.

lackoo1111: as i said Steam following D2D

Navagon: I would argue that it's more likely that 2K is responsible. But Steam is notorious for doing sales without publisher consent. So either could be true in this case.

Proof?

affenkopf: Steam:
Civilization 4 The Complete Edition
Civilization 4 Beyond the Sword
Civilization 4 Warlords
Civilization 4 Colonization
All 75% off

Not fucking bought, because 2K/Take Two and Steam don't want my money. They don't sell the complete collection at retail here, too.
Well, guess they know what people do when they are restricted from purchasing a legal copy.
PS: Civilization III is 75% off, $1.25

taczillabr: PS: Civilization III is 75% off, $1.25

Even though Civ 4 is better in almost every way to Civ 3 for €1.25 it's worth every cent.

Well, Brazil has no extradition treaty with the US so no Steam games for you!! < bad joke
In all seriousness I don't understand the regional restrictions, the only logical reason is the restrictions are purely political. And even that doesn't make much sense.
Stupid goddamn quoting...
Navagon & JacobNZ : It's actually quite likely that ALL of the digital retailers can put something on sale without needing the publisher's permission first. Steam have talked about it, as have Gamersgate. If they can do it, it makes sense that D2D and Impulse can, too.

I thought Civ3 was better personally. Too bad I can't find my CD anymore. Maybe I'll end up buying it on Steam. I'm getting self conscious about the number of games I buy though. I just got Humble Indie Bundle + the Penumbra deal on Monday. It's like I never stop buying games. :(
At least I can say that most of what I buy is on sale...
I much prefer Civ 3 with all the exp packs than IV.
anyway, more offers.
Gamersgate has Red Faction Guerrilla at half price, single digit amount of money. If you don't have the game, get it. My game of the year 2009. (just mine)
Also Swat 4 Gold from D2D is now at half its price (4.95 euros which is a steal)
I already had Swat 4 on disc, but not the expansion pack, so I got it.
Impulse Weekend:
Flotilla 40% off ($6.00)
Dawn of War Gold Edition 50% off ($9.99)
Immortal Defense 50% off ($4.99)
Tropico 3 + Absolute Power Pack 25% off
Arsenal of Democracy 30% off
Democracy 2 50% off
GetGames:
Serious Sam HD: Second Encounter 15% off
Space Rangers 2 Reboot 66% off
Necrovision Lost Company 66% off

MW2 is $10 off for the free weekend on Steam.
Yes, you heard it right, a whole dollar cheaper than the last time it went on discount not too long ago.

Yes! $10 off full price for $49.99 which is full price for other, arguably better games.
