Navagon: Rebellion really need to get their act together. They've got some talent there, sure (AvP was handled by different people to Rogue Warrior). But clearly there are a lot of people there that aren't up to scratch.

I think the problem is bad designers or a lack of vision/direction. AvP is very polished and triple A and looks great, it's just kind of heartless. I don't know about rogue warrior, but from the reviews it also sounds like sort of an empty shell of a game.

I think you're right. Which is odd really, considering Rebellion own 2000AD. You'd have thought they'd have enough creative vision to tap into. But they haven't drawn on the comic's material or creative talent for some time.

Rebellion are still just a relatively small developer so they need the work. I personally thought the AvP game was very good and did a good job of emulating the original movies. Far better than those garbage AvP movies anyway. Chris and Jason Kingsley have both said there would be future 2000AD games with Strontium Dog rumored to be the next on the agenda but they need the money to fund their own projects. 2000AD itself despite the cult following is not very profitable and Rebellion pretty much saved the comic from collapse.

I still haven't played the latest AvP, aside from the demo, which is MP only. So I don't really know how good it is. As for 2000 AD, yeah, it was going under fast. Mismanagement was killing it. But Rebellion really turned it around.

You mean, they threw money at it and left it alone.

michaelleung: Rogue Warrior is now $19.99 on Steam. If you didn't buy it full price (I did on console), there's no excuse now!

Wait wait wa... isn't this that game with a 4 hours SP? $5 for each hour on hard, no excuse!
Sure... I'll get it when it hits $1 per hour. (plus a pdf copy of the original book, as an extra) :)

Snickersnack: It's Gears of War with smurfs.

Dark Fall Lost Souls 5$

Just in case anybody besides me did a double take on that sentence: "last week" meaning the "fourth and last week of a sale", not "what was on sale last week."
And a very, very good price on both Civ IV and the newest Dark Fall.

Luned: And a very, very good price on both Civ

Yeah.... But not for Polish gamers... Argh... :/
Buy Defense Grid from D2D this week, this game is really addicted and fun to play tower defense game.

Sol Survivor is better IMO and it's only $10 normal price. Not trying to disagree or anything just adding in a few cents. I also play this with my friends coop and war mode, awesome fun online.

Sol Survivor is not a tower defense game. Yes, mp and co-op is maybe fun but you need to control annoying laser too, so your towers are not doing so much damage to your enemies you are doing with your mouse button always and it is annoying for me. So DG is so much better TD game than Sol Survivor.
how about this ?
