It's a shame that the PC version does not have splitscreen coop. That is what convinced me to eventually get it.

I hear it has more story and more varied environments, which is what tempts me. Still if the focus is on loot and co-op I will likely still hate it.

Well, yeah, it is still first person diablo with a billion guns, they did not change that. It IS more fun though, and it has better environments and stages.
But if you hated the loot focused aspect, you are going to hate it.

I do have one complain about it, you don't get to use the class's gimmick until you are level 5. That sucks.

I don't hate loot, I just don't care about it. I play games for exploration and story and Borderlands had no story and identical environments. Two looks a lot better, but with a year off from gaming to catch up on and limited funds it can't be a priority, right? Why do I keep looking at it!

I can say they replenished Chivalry and Dead Island GOTY in a bit over 24hrs while on sale. So there is hope.
