Ubivis: Dungeons has it's own Client Type DRM System. It is mainly a launcher tool, that checks for Updates and stuff. To activate, you need to enter a Serial Number and activate it on the internet. During this process, you also need to register with them with a username and password.

But better forget that game. Most boring Game I ever played (and I played "Secret of the Magic Crystals") ;)

maycett: Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll wait on buying it. And speaking of Secret of the Magic Crystals, I'm planning to play that at some point, so many people say it's awful, that it makes me curious :D
Why don't you just give me $5 so I give you permission to stare at the wall for 3 hours. This way you could have more fun than playing Magic Crystals.

No, really this COULD have been a good game but it's just blank. (I got it for free and still feel robbed of my time)

if you are so hot for a horse game try this one:

It even has a 4 star rating! :)

well, obviously you _cannot_ have a good horse game _and_ no/nice DRM at once.
Those horse loving girlies would pirate it all day long. NOTHING stands between a girl and her horse!

PS: but to cater for your DRM-complain
Wildlife park is DRM FREE:
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-WLP2/wildlife-park-2?caff=1869351
but you need the Horses Add-on for horseplay:
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-WLP2X2/wildlife-park-2-addon-horses?caff=1869351

and i've never seen any of these go on sale. Those bastards know how to milk a girl's dream (and a daddy's purse)

No. They are still as awesome as they were back then. Maybe Quake 3/Doom 3 could be considered "outdated". The rest is still great.

Yes, actually the older games are more fun, since they have a much more creative leveldesign with lot's of secrets.
While D3 or Quake IV just rail you through nice corridors to shoot at things that jump out of closets. In that sense they seem quite dated. But the presentation is nice and I played other FPS games much, much worse.

Doom IIIs engine is still a powerhouse, imo, it looks pretty nice to me.

D3, while linear, has some nice interactions & amazing music/atmosphere. I don't get why everyone seems to think linear game=bad game.

(Not saying you think/thought linear games are bad games.....I'm just speaking in general here.)

An aside: Many people state that Doom 1/2/Final are less linear than D3 and this is true, but the older games were a bit linear as well(With many levels requiring you to find colored keycards to progress further into/finish the levels.).

Have you ever tried the Ultimate Doom Doom3 mod? It adds even nicer looking graphics and(I think) some new weapons as well, such as a laser sighted pistol and a rail-gun mode for the plasma gun.

The daily deal on steam is the Fallout collection for 6.69€. It includes both fallout 1 and 2 and the Tactics. It's a good deal for people that doesn't own any of the game here on gog.
