Metro09: I got Bioshock for $5 back at Christmas on Steam... can't say I played it more than two or three hours. I found the game play utterly dull but hey maybe it gets more interesting later on? Outside of the art direction and setting I don't understand why people praise this game as 'innovative'.... and certainly not 'brilliant.'

The best part of the game is the beginning, specifically the medical pavilion. The rest of it isn't really as good. I enjoyed seeing the story through to the end, but the gameplay is a bit weak.
Basically, the story borrows way too much from System Shock 2, and the gameplay doesn't borrow enough.

CrashToOverride: LOL Oh no we cannot like BIOSHOCK because it was innovative and not not exactly like System Shock like we wanted -Yawn-

trusteft: Hey you jackass, I never said I liked System Shock. Don't pretend you know me.

Wasn't replying specifically to you, just to the overall Bioshock hating. Don't get your panties in a twist kiddo.
Take your silly squabbling elsewhere, dudes...

That's it, keep your ignorance where everyone can see it.

Has anyone found a demo for this game? The youtube videos make it look very easy game. The cars don't seem to slow down, making weapons useless etc.

The cars slow down to a crawl when you run through zombies. The weapons are essentially a necessity.

That's good to hear. The youtube clips don't show this.

D2D has tree shops with regional restrictions
US: http://www.direct2drive.com/promos/spring-sale/
UK: http://www.direct2drive.co.uk/promos/spring-sale/
EU: http://www.direct2drive.eu/promos/spring-sale/
Prices are different at each shop. Check all of them - if you can buy it cheaper, also check regional restrictions - if you even can buy it ;)
For example D2D EU shop: Atari 2010 Spring Bundle 74,95€ says "This product is available for purchase in the United States, Canada and Mexico only." - that's FAIL

I know the exchange rate is crap but since when to 1 Euro = 1 Pound? Don't think I'll bother with any of this weeks but I'll keep an eye on the site for the next few weeks.
" also check regional restrictions - if you even can buy it ;) "
Let's see D2D US store:
King's Bounty: Gold Edition
RollerCoaster Tycoon® 2: Combo Park Pack with Wacky Worlds Expansion
Dark Void
Battlestations: Pacific
Elven Legacy Complete Edition
DCS: Black Shark
Gothic III
Downfall
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Tropico 3
Just Cause
MotoGP 08
Reservoir Dogs: The Game
DiRT 2
Democracy 2
no regional restrictions
On the European D2D site Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 is 4 euros, on the UK site its £14! What the hell kind of exchange rate are they using!?

Atari
Dark Void and Dirt 2 look the games worth this, but considering the very low review scores of Dark Void, I guess this week I will only get Dirt 2 from them. $9.99 is a great price for it.
Oh, about the Zombie Driver mentioned earlier, I tried the demo and it is definitely a buy game for the price asked.

Guys.... chill. Or get laid. Preferably both.
Same happened during the Steam holidays sale. Give them a few hours to fix everything up. After all, the sale lasts a week - no need to hurry.
