I kind of agree with you. It was my first COD experience, and I hope it to be my last since it was severely overrated...like BIOSHOCK. Giving this game away for free if I were to buy anything below $5 would STILL deter me from buying it.

I wasn't a D2D customer last year so I have no idea what type of sale it is going to be.

but be prepared for the chance that all the games you WANT won't be available in your region. that's what happened to me in the last d2d sale.
Though i did get bioshock for $5, so that was nice.

As for Bioshock, IMO you paid $25 too many..

The first Bioshock was a brilliant game in its own right. Can't really comment on the second one as I just couldn't get into it and thus, have not played past the first area.

I got Bioshock for $5 back at Christmas on Steam... can't say I played it more than two or three hours. I found the game play utterly dull but hey maybe it gets more interesting later on? Outside of the art direction and setting I don't understand why people praise this game as 'innovative'.... and certainly not 'brilliant.'

My thoughts exactly. It's pretty, I give it that, but other than that it is a big meh.

Zombie Driver is €4.47 on GamersGate, for €5 it's actually a lot of fun.

Nope. The story was good, but it gets as dull as vanilla ice cream later on. Last boss fight is a pushover.

It's also had extra content added. Such as new game modes or sommat. No idea if the same update will make it to the Steam version.

As far as I'm concerned, it's brilliant (especially for $5) because it's enjoyable. Games do not need to be innovative to be enjoyable, and no, not everyone is going to find the same games to be enjoyable. And that too, does not stop a game from being brilliant for those who enjoyed it.
