Seriously though, Space Siege is getting an awful lot of discount time on Steam. It was one of the few games to be on sale twice during the christmas sales, and now it's given away with preorders.

It's not a port as it was developed in tandem with the other versions. It's good. Lacking in AA though. You can force it on through your graphics card control panel (recommended if your GPU can handle it as the style means jaggies aplenty).
It's still popular online. I've had some issues with Gamespy when trying to play with people using a different (Steam - retail) version of the game though.
