Mirror's Edge for $10 is great (they should really update the DRM though -- there's a revoke tool for activations). THQ bundle and World of Goo are solid too.

Amazon had it for $37 the other day! I grabbed it then, because that was a great deal (free shipping too). $40 is pretty good though, obviously.

I am willing to pay the full MSRP for select new releases. For example, I will probably pick up Super Mario Galaxy 2 for $50, as soon as it becomes available. It is hard to wait to play certain games!
Otherwise, yes, there is no point in paying $50 for a game you are in no rush to play. Patience does indeed lead to savings.
