The Steam deal today is Gyromancer and Mini Ninjas.
50% off each, or 66% off both bundled.
Gyromancer is a blatant ripoff of Puzzle Quest, but it's made by Square-Enix and PopCap and Puzzle Quest was a bit of a combined ripoff of Final Fantasy and Bejeweled, so I guess it's fair enough that the companies that made those games turned around and stole their ideas back. The only problem is that Puzzle Quest is a better game than Gyromancer. This game also has an insufficient amount of Greek food romance.
Mini Ninjas has a a brilliant art style and kind of average gameplay. Not a bad game though.

Completely off-topic, but GOD the download speeds off Steam are fucking awful.

I would get the mini ninjas, but 20 euros is too much for the sale price.

Impulse is a having a bunch of sales right now, the standout for me is space rangers 2 complete for 20 bucks for a 50% discount, of course steam is already selling the complete version for 20 which makes me think that's why impulse discounted the pack today.

I agree. I was having the same problem whilst downloading the RUSE beta. Might be to do that Valve are limiting bandwidth on the older Steam version, bottling people into the Steam beta?

Impulse sold Space Rangers 2 for $2 not that long ago. I imagine Steam will have a big sale on it in the future.

Buying Mini Ninjas without Gyromancer is more expensive than buying the Gyromancer + Mini Ninjas bundle. Steam cracks me up.

More likely, you're just stuck on an overloaded content server. I've been downloading several things today, using the old client, and I'm still getting max download speeds.

Oh yeah i forgot about that, mainly because i missed that sale. Anyway steam will eventually have a space Rangers 2 sale, it's inevitable.

Microsoft are having sales on the GFWL store. Starting with Bioshock 2 for $37.99. If you buy the 400 point DLC pack they will also throw in 800 bonus points free. Yeah about as impressive as you would expect from MS and of course US only.

As usual Impulse is taking the piss with european (and other) customers but only selling AAA games in NA. Then blaming only the publisher when every single other digital store sells these games to the whole freaking world.
