SimonG: I spent at least half the "christmas sale money" on Amazon, mostly the "big titles". Steam was the next big share, but mostly small games and bundles. The rest was GG,etc. (GOG was on hold due to CDPs legal shennanigans).

All the games I bought on Amazon were games I would have purchased otherwise on Steam. And I don't think I was the only one in that regard.

Pheace: Overall I still think it will not have had such a huge impact, because mostly it was US only, unless you're one of the savvy who uses a fake billing address and the like, but that's not your average consumer.

That said, competition is always nice :)

Steam can recognize that the saved games are there. According to Steam my saves are still there and it brings them back from the cloud with no problem. It's GFWL and its stupid encryption (I suspect) that makes the game unable to read them properly.

Steam cloud is actually great, same as Ubisofts and basically any system that backs your files externally.

I was reffering to the fact that this problem only applies to the Steam Batman users, not those who got the game without Steam. Hence, the problem must be Steam related. I'm also a huge fan of cloud saving, but currently it looks like somebody on Steams side fucked it up.

Actually no, the problem lies somewhere else. It's a quite common problem and the official forums is (was) full of post from people who lost their saves. It would not be a such a bug deal if not for that encryption. Because of it backing up your files is quite hard.

Than I stand corrected. I thought it was only the Steam versions.

What I heard it's becasue GFWL has trouble registering this achievement and it causes save to go out of sync.

Sorry for hijacking this thread.

To stay at least bit on topic I'd like to complain about GMG. They have 19 pages long sale list but most of it is 1% off, what the hell? Is it just to make harder to find real sales?

I am still pondering if I should get ME3 from GreenmanGaming,
with CUSTO-MERLO-YALTY you still get 25%off = £26 / €31, which I think is a very reasonable price...
