worlddan: There's a major difference between a video game and a container of sugar. The container of sugar I'll actually use so it makes sense for me to buy it in bulk where the per unit cost is cheaper.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I honestly don't believe that your argument makes sense. If you're actually buying _everything_ in bulk just because you can't stand the idea that someone else might get a better deal than you, and then give away stuff because it was to much for you, then that'd be so utterly impractical that it borders on ridiculosity. But we both know that you don't really do this, don't we?
worlddan: When was the last time you saw a major platform like steam or GG do a sale like this. Never.
GamersGate had a 4:3 offer for the whole last month. By your own reasoning, you must hate this offer because it causes the people who buy 4 games to get a better deal than the people who buy less - just like DotEmu's current offer rewards the people who buy more games. Really, the principle "better deal for larger purchase" is so deeply ingrained in our economy that you can't escape it. It also makes sense for vendors and customers alike.
Anyway. You're obviously free to hate any sales method, and you're not _required_ to make sense while explaining the reasons. Have fun. :)
