Jeff's not a dumb man. If people like something in his series, he makes more of it. What i find it cool about jeff's games is that the rewrites not only make the game playable again, they actually feel like a new and fresh experience.

deathknight1728: I just spoke with jeff from spiderweb software and he stated that the gene forge, avernum and avadon series will be coming to gog. He said it will take time, but most likely avernum 1-6 and gene forge 1-5, nether gate, and avadon will there. Not sure about blades of avernum, but hey who knows.

ne_zavarj: Maybe someone send an email or forum PM to Basilisk Games too . :)
Ill do that once spiderweb gets some games on here. The main reason i messaged him and gog was because people on gog like old school games-jeff is about as old school as you will get.

I just can't get past the poor graphics. Back when Baldur's Gate was doing it that was OK, it was state of the art then. But I've been spoiled. I've come to realize that for me persoanlly even $1 is too much for his games. I love RPGs but I need more graphics.

Generally people that are focused on graphics are better off staying away from jeff's games. The original avernum 1-3, nethergate and blades of avernum, are all very primitive in graphics. I admit that i myself stay away from them. However, geneforge 2-5, avernum 4-6 and avadon are all pretty decent graphics and very reminiscent of oldschool baldurs gate.

dyscode: Though cannot comment on buying from Steam, since there is nothing I need right now.
Do NOT purchase from Steam via VPN/Proxies that place you in a different country. Valve actively disable any account that does.

Eh I accidently have done that before once, will I get banned? FYI I purchased from US ( I live in Canada) while I was on vacation...

Nah, that's fine. US and Canada are on the same region, more or less. I live in Mexico but bought a few games while in the US and they're still there.

Really? I've never heard of anyone being punished for that :\

I don´t know what to say, I did forget that Steam doesn´t like proxies.
def. NOT recommended. Steam is VERY special with this.

Better to get a contact in the relevant region and ask for it to be gifted in exchange for paypal moneys, I guess.

Bansama is correct. Don't mess with steam on this issue. People can and do get away with it but if they catch you goodbye account.
Deal of the week Amazon: Alice MR 7.5$ but they still don't change the price
/edit: just add item to cart, the price down to 7.5$ as usual

Yes really. I personally know someone who had their account permanently disabled for just that. They did eventually get their account back, but only after I suggest they contact Valve employees and not go via support. They were lucky and found an employee willing to give them a second chance.

But make no mistake, they find you've purchased outside of your region via VPN, etc., even via dialing into a PC in the US via remote access*, etc., they are very likely to disable your account without a second thought.

* I've seen a support ticket from someone who did this and got a rather nasty threatening response from support saying they were very lucky that they didn't disable the account that time.

If you ever want to buy a game from a different region -- for whatever reason -- always find someone you trust in that region to gift it to you. Never attempt to buy it yourself.
Hmm... but how do they know that you're using a VPN? Buying games from different regions cannot be forbidden in general since people travel and relocate all the time. I have bought many different games from both North America and Europe on my Steam account using different (legitimate) payment methods and billing addresses in the US and in Europe. I never used a VPN or anything like that though.

The header on your IP.
Hi guys,
Alice is for $7.49 on amazon now. $2.49 with coupon.

So, I'm really not glad to beg, but does anybody have an unused $5 coupon for amazon?
If yes, please PM me.

Thank you very much and have a nice day!
