wormholewizards: I guess it must be region restricted. My friend can confirm ME & ME2 priced at $4.99 using VPN. It looks like most of EA catalogue in Gamers Gate are region locked.
It let me buy Crysis 2 during the previous sale :( Will your friend need to use the VPN to download it too, or just to make the purchase?

Not sure, i have to ask him first.

He said the region restricted part only apply during purchase phase. After you bought it, you can download from your account and play it like normal.

GamersGate also has a Sims 3 "sale" (Not cheap enough to get me to buy Sims 3 pets from them though, but in case anyone's interested). Games should be Origin redeemable:

The Sims 3 Pets

The Sims 3 Generations

Sims 3 base game

As usual with my Amazon/GG links, there are referrer tags on them that shouldn't make any difference for you guys :)

FiatLux: However I think that Amazon knows me a little too well for that to be a wise move for me.
(I am a "regular" at Amazon, anyway I wouldn't be comfortable using such a ploy against them though I think that all the "regional policy" thing is a "bitch")
What I did to avoid that was simply creating a new account under a different email, an account that's only ever had a US billing address and that I only ever access to buy either behind a VPN or on my kindle 3G (I do access it usually to browse without a VPN with no issues). The only downside is that my Prime membership is in my other account, meaning that I can't use the Kindle Owners Library for the US one. Other than that, I've had no problems with them.

Thanks !

B.t.w. you can just remove the "referrer tags" in your links if you do not want them , e.g. : Just cut off the ?caff=3956842 part of the link and it ought still work fine ....
Since no one seems to have posted the direct links to the Mass Effect sale yet, here are they:

Mass Effect 1 - 4.99 $
Mass Effect 2 - 4.99 $
Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition - 7.49 $

I also have some questions:

1. Can anyone tell me howlong this sale will last (the proxy I'm using doesn't relay this info)?

2. Does any of these products require EA Origin in any way (activation, necessary patches / downloads, etc.), or any other form of online activation through EA?

3. Is the Digital Deluxe Edition worth the higher price tag?

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Why would we do that after manually adding them? :)

You can check its Steam page for a list of added stuff.

The GG page I linked lists the added stuff too, my question is rather referring to whether people think that that stuff is worth paying more money. :)

OK ! , I get it but I manually remove such tags in links before using them
;-)

I know that! But considering I get a small cut of sales made through those links without the buyers/users having to pay anything extra, I'd rather put the tags on my links than not -- If anyone's too bothered about it they can always just look into the products themselves, I do my part by letting people know about it rather than putting them there ninja-style :)

I didn't know that GG had a referral arrangement other than I think through the user pages at GG.
Well , anyway , my philosophy is that if you think that the product is OK then by all means endorse it. I "Endorse" many things without getting anything in return but don't envy those that do.
Hey guys ! , Buy your games at GOG !! (Big grin)
I remove referral tags from lnks out of habit (I hate being "tracked" . which one is all the time anyway) - it is not that I think that you should not be allowed to make a little money - thats fine by me......

When I click the link it says available in North America only. If I paypal someone the money and they send it to me, will it let me download and activate it?

Referral links are fine as long as we openly show them. There is nothing bad in it, anyone with a GG account can do it. If 'link clickers' are afraid that someone might take advantage of them, which is simply not true, don´t use the link.
For my side it´s much more satisfying to get prove that someone liked my recommendation. :)

Well it doesn't really track you beyond letting gamersgate/Amazon know you ran into a link I posted and that they should get me a small percentage of what you get on your current session on the site. I'm aware some people are against it, however, and that's why I generally put the small disclaimer regarding them.

And yeah I endorse things I like regardless of profit, but if I can endorse something and get a bit in return from big companies, why not? At the end of the day I make just a small amount of money (let's say $10-20 a month) that isn't a fortune yet it can always help a bit -- Every little bit of money helps in this world ;) Add to that the fact that whoever follows my links isn't paying anything extra than somebody who follows one without a referral and well, I see more reasons to do it than not to :)

Yes, it´s only restricted with buying. GG does not / cannot check later if this is the US or the UK version.
