It did not have 40 hours of gameplay. It took me 14 to beat it with 97% of the collectibles. I loved the game. It's my underrated gem of the year. I loved the art style and unique story. It's exactly what Tim Burton's Alice movie should have been like.

I'm not sure how we played the same game then, I was ready for the damned thing to be over before I even met Caterpillar. The Dollmaker area was pure torture.

Yeah....I never misled people, but thanks anyway. I even showed the link with the amazon rep saying what next weeks deals were gonna be in case anybody thought I was just pulling stuff out of my ass and making up random deals for whatever reason. My deals were pasted right from the link

The price is attractive, the footage look awesome although looks like PoP clone. But why Desura average rating only 6.2?
The main criticism I've seen levied against the game was that it was way too short (only about 4 hours of gameplay). The price at desura isn't that attractive considering that the game was on sale at GG for 2.50 $ for a couple of weeks during the holidays. If you consider buying it, note that is incompatible with Windows 7 (GG mentions this in the requirements, desura doesn't seem to).

I got it on GG for $2.50. It works just fine on my Win7 computer, but that doesn't stop it being horrifically bad. The combat is pathetic, gameplay is mediocre, it doesn't even try to hide the fact that it's just a very poor clone of God of War (which I happen to love).

I like a lot of crap games, but this one is just too crap, even for me.

Interesting - does your computer run on 32-bit or 64-bit Win7? On my 64-bit Win7, Garshasp just crashes when I try to start it (not a big deal since I can dual-boot into Windows XP, but i try to achieve Win7 compatibility if I can).

I ran it on 64bit. I couldn't get it to recognise my generic usb controller, but it worked apart from that. However, I did only end up giving the game about 20 minutes before concluding that I'd been playing it for 19 minutes too long.
