Amazon's official rep said this on CAG:
If you've tried to apply your coupon prior to today, or on a title that isn't listed on the page above, it is OK your coupon is not gone, it has just been applied to your account. Simply check out with one of the titles on that page and the $5 will be deducted. I have now tested this 3 separate times.
