ne_zavarj: Is Warhammer 40 000 Space Marine worth the $16 ?
I would think so from what I heard. However, where are you seeing this? Can you post a link for the rest of us?

gyokzoli: Augmented edition doesn't include any DLCs.

korell: Here in the UK the retail Augmented Edition came with the Explosive Mission Pack, one of the two release DLCs (the second being the Tactical Pack) that later became sold on Steam for a couple of £ each.
Only the retail versions have DLCs, the digital augmented editions do not.
@korell

True that. It seems only Europe got the Augmented Edition with the DLCs. The US market is missing it in the PC version. I'm surprised the 'Missing Link' costs almost as much as the core game. It's an 'United Offensive' all over again.
May not be directly related to gaming 'deals' but anyone else think EA are taking the piss with the price of SWTOR? It's retail price is £39.99 here in UK which is disgusting.

Most Retail PCs games are £29.99 tops with only a bare few exceptions from greedy companys (Activision MW3/ Blizzard Starcraft 2) and especially MMOs are NEVER more than £29.99 even the most popular MMO out there which is WoW.

On top of that it's obviously a flat £8.99 subscription a month which is the usual price for MMOs but still.... with the subs they would get i would expect the intial purchase to be cheaper.

To me it's funny that SWTOR copies are basically just the client installer and game files, which many MMOs let you download for FREE....and they have the GALL to charge for them on top of monthly subs(and who knows what else in the game.)

SWTOR's price is absolutely insane..

on the origin store it's 142% the price of any other PC release in retail stores..

even on the cheap key sites around the web (yup even russian ones) the damn game is still like 70 dollars... and thats the normal edition.. deluxe is even more!

i really wan't the game.. but i have to wait till it drops under 40 dollars.. EA showing their true colors again!

Worst part is you'll have to wait for such offers on retail since the friendly folks at Origin aren't really likely to put that thing on sale for like, years.

Yep, unless they lose subs rapidly, i don't see the price dropping for a long time either.

I will say one positive and that is that it's really good the retail version of SWTOR doesn't require you to install Origin (from what i've read anyway). That is a step in the right direction and did get me intrested to pass time till GW2..... but really this price is such a slap in the face.

I agree with Darknath in which i will probably wait till it drops below $40 or roughly £25-30. I'm not paying this price for an MMO.

Star Trek Online is going Free to Play if it hasn't already. That could have been why the internet was so slow yesterday haha.

People are already predicting Old Republic will be free to play in a short time.....
I don't know why SWTOR's price is surprise. EA has been pricing all their big PC releases for 60 dollars recently. BF3 is that price; Mass Effect 3, Syndicate, and Kingdom of Amalur will be 60 as well.

If only it was priced at 60... but SWTOR costs between 70 and 100 dollars..

i have seen a few places where it has come down to 60, because of discounts.. but thats it

It's also an MMO, basically the disc you're buying is just a client installer. With the other games listed those were full games with no additional sub costs in most cases.

I paid full price for it and I wish I had of waited , I have hardly played it since I got it , its get boring pretty quickly , I tried a break from it for a few days and went back to it but just couldn't get into it , I will for sure canceling my sub before the 30 days is up :( Funny thing is it was the game I was most looking forward for about 2 years !

What do you consider a "long time"? The drop off in subs should be around the 3-6 month mark.
