Cleidophoros: Convenience? Seems the dude already has a Steam account and he doesn't want another account or client to play his games since he wants them all in one place.
Pheace: My post was sarcasm because it seems rather ridiculous someone wouldn't be able to think of a valid reason :) Come on interwebz, give us the sarcasm font already!
Funny thing about Steam. I have Train Simulator 2012 ( bought 2011 and they upgraded for free yay!), I needed some space to install another game. Train simulator is a 5GBs download but when I did a back up it's 2,5 GBs. Why don't I download 2,5 GBs in the first place? Go figure.
Yes I do play Train simulator. Farming simulator too.

grviper: GG price-matched to Steam offers. Mafia 1 is offered as a bundle of different language versions, don't know whether they're giftable or not.
The different language versions are individually giftable, but you only get one serial (which is tied to the English version). So technically you can give the others away, but practically the receivers won't be able to play the games until you tell them your serial, which then might make problems with the copy protection. Regarding the prices at GamersGate: It's quite disappointing. I wanted to buy the GTA bundle for 10 € only to find out that it's now at 20 €. Then there came a new indie game in which I might have bought for the initial price of 1.24, but then suddenly it jumped to 2.48, and now it's at 1.72. I guess I should just issue a buy order whenever I see a price I like, and let see order rest for two weeks (to see if the price goes lower) before I either pay or cancel it.

Can I buy the DLC for Sanctum on GamersGate without buying the actual game there (it's SteamWorks anyway)?
There are 4 DLC that didn't come with the IndieRoyale, and buying them on GG, one comes for free.

I wanted to get the GTA bundle too. This is the 2nd time GG has done something like this with a game I wanted. I guess they just don't want me to buy from them? :(OmegaX

You should. At least I was able to buy the 2 DLCs of Orcs must die! in one order first with 2 DLCs of Magicka and afterwards I bought Orcs must die! with 3 other games of similar price.

I just noticed that Total War: Shogun 2 is back in the sale at 7.48 $ / 9.98 € (75% off). That's cheaper than when it was Deal of the Day. Its DLCs are also 75% off.
Lots of other "Total War" products are 75% off as well:
Shogun Gold Edition 2.48 $/€
Rome: Total War Complete 3.74 $/€ (there's also a cheaper "Gold" version but it doesn't have the Alexander expansion)
Empire: Total War 4.98 $/€
Napoleon Total War Imperial Edition 4.98 $/€
Empire & Napolean GotY Edition 7.47 $/€ (combines the two above)
Medieval 2 Total War Gold Edition 2.48 $/€ (92% off?!)
Might be a good candidate for a 4:3 buy. :)

Why is that more convenient? There's no client required at all, just activation on it. Everything is all in one place: your computer. It's not like you suddenly have to fire up Origin every time you want to play it.

Steam also has a Dungeon Siege Complete Pack with all the Dungeon Siege games and the latest expansion for $23.99.
And... it's still letting me buy, download, and play everything I want without any issues at all so far :)

Me too, damn. When I checked the page, it said something like 11 days remaining, so i assumed i had plenty of time, wrong! They did this to me with Painkiller Pandemonium pack about 4 months ago, i should have learned my lesson and just grabbed it.

MX vs ATV Reflex is $5 on GG and requires Steam to run. It's $10 on Steam atm.

The Free Indie Bundle
All games come with DRM free.
http://theturtle.editions.free.fr/nanigaming/freeindiebundle/
1.Nitronic Rush
Nitronic Rush is an experimental survival driving game developed by students at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
Using the car’s many abilities (including boost, wings, and jump), avoid obstacles that the city throws at you.
In many ways the game is a tribute to racing games of the 1990′s, but with fresh graphics, audio, and gameplay.
2. Stealth Bastard
Stealth games are awesome. Hiding from The Man, skulking in shadows, the thrill of the unseen infiltration.
But why do they have to be so... slow?
Introducing Stealth Bastard: stealth, with a great big kick up the arse.
A fast-paced, frenetic, one-step-away-from-chunky-death melange of sneaking, platforming, hacking and cursing.
A whole lot of fun. It's like Metal Gear Solid and Super Meat Boy had a baby out of wedlock. Semi-literally.
3. A Flipping Good Time
A Flipping Good Time is a fast-paced free-flowing 2D platformer.
Flip and fly through an expansive underground world using the fluid nature of gravity to avoid the hazardous terrain.
With challenging obstacles, exhilarating mine cart rides, an immersive environment, rewarding collectibles,
and entertaining levels with unlockable bonus levels, A Flipping Good Time is just that: A Flipping Good Time.
4. Viriax
Retro visuals and music, simple controls and procedural generated levels can turn this little game into something adictive,
plus when it comes to challenge yourself with a score system that consists in the sum of your best score in each level.
Be part of the Viriax infection and show humans who set the rules in the Earth.
Infect important organs one by one, and destroy the ultimate defensive hope of humanity, the Nanobot Assembly System
implemented as a chip near the brain..
5. Ski Challenge 2012
SC:12 starts with a first - we are offering the Ski Challenge not only as a download, but also as a browser-based version.
Find some useful hints and tips about the best – and fastest – ways to tackle challenging stretches and the twists and turns of the course.
Super-G at Beaver Creek, Val d'Isère, Who will be crowned World Champion after the Hahnenkamm downhill race ?
Racers will have to muster every ounce of strength one last time on the Streif course. It will be worth it !
SC:12 offers further optional features that add to the fun and excitement.
Break all the rules in “Rowdy” mode or test your skill on slippery sheet ice with the “Extreme Ice” function.
These features will be added as the season progresses.
All games come with DRM free.
