amok: Just pointing out that E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is part of Steams daily deal. It is well worth the £1.24 asking price.
$2.50 here. I'm looking for people to grab a four pack. Lemme know if you're interested.

StingingVelvet: I highly recommend Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for $3 on amazon. It's mostly Call of Duty in the old west, but it's got a good story, great visuals and lots of personality.
What kind of DRM am I looking at on this one? I notice it's an Ubisoft title.

Proxy I guess. Or a gift. Just got an e-mail from D2D saying I should sign up with GameFly as the changeover happens in January. I wasn't happy to see the GameFly service is US only.

DA2 is 7.5$ on Amazon.com with no such problem on purchase.
And D2D US adds VAT to European purchases.

Anyone know how many games they put up on the final steam sale day?

Unable to use credit card atm and i've missed a few games i would have bought like Avadon, AvP and E.Y.E which is rather depressing.

Hopefully those will be on the final day or i've missed them for probably a long time.
Did i miss and good deal or bargain offer ?

Avadon is currently available for 3.48 € at GamersGate. The sale is supposed to go on for 16 more days, so if you get your credit card working until then, buy it there. Steam probably won't beat this price - it may be an erroneous "sale on a sale" opportunity, GamersGate currently has some of those. Of course, this also means that the price may be changed as soon as they notice the error ...

Do you want the game for PC or Mac? I ponder buying it, and then I'll have a spare Mac version.

Thanks for the info, i should be able to get the card working within 16 days so maybe i'll be able to buy it in time :). I was going to get it for PC since i don't have a mac, but don't worry i don't want it gifted or anything i was just hoping that game particually would stay on sale (thanks for the offer though, nice of you).

Disc version is DRM free. Amazon adds no DRM of their own. Not sure if the digital version had added DRM or not.

Got Avadon on amazon for $2.50... should be a good laptop game.

Edit: Warning, Avadon on amazon seems to require their old game downloading client for some reason (or maybe they brought it back today altogether). I'm not sure if that means DRM or not, but it used to. Will check.

Edit 2: Avadon is DRM'd by amazon. I copied the installer from the download location, closed the amazon app, and then installed. When launching the game it suddenly requires you to sign in to your amazon account and activate the game.

Very upset by this. Since it seemed amazon ditched the stupid client and DRM I was making them my first-stop shopping source. Now I don't know what's going on. I emailed them to ask what's up with this game suddenly requiring the client.

The Anno games (medieval city-sim / economy / partly RTS games, very popular here in Germany) have gone on sale at GamersGate:

Ordered by release date:

Anno 1503 Gold (aka "1503 A.D.") for 2.38 €
Anno 1701 Gold (aka "1701 A.D.") for 6.78 €
Anno 1404 Gold (aka "Dawn of Discovery") for 19.47 €

The last game in the list is only 35% off, not really worth it in a Christmas sale imho even though the game is quite good. But the first two are excellent opportunities to get acquainted with a highly acclaimed series at a cheap price. :)
