bazilisek: I second that. I'm fine with using other people's referral links in this thread if they have the decency to be open about it.
It never occurred to me to add GG affiliate id to the links here. Maybe I should try.

OmegaX: So, I received a notification that SimCity 4 Deluxe is discounted on GG but they suddenly decided to restrict it in my region (it wasn't restricted last week).
Can anybody tell me the price you see on this link and when does the offer expire?
For me, all EA week games are sold through the UK site. In fact, they appear in pounds even when I enter the site via the .com (international) site and I'm not from the UK, so you may want to try going to the SC4 page through gamersgate.com and then the EA week page instead of an email/referral link.
Ea sales are a joke but i would like to hate myself.. And trie sims 3 after dipicles.

grynn: BioShock 2 is $5 and Lost Planet 2 is $10.
Lost Planet 1 is also on Sale for €4.49. Any Opinion about this? It's the Extreme Condition Edition.

And Red Faction: Guerilla is €2.49

man, I would buy this game 3 times if there was any sense in it. I JUST LOVE IT.

I'm playing through Lost Planet 1 right now (got it used for $5). It's okay. It's nothing that's so fantastic that you just can't control yourself, but it's a decent solid game filled with 3rd person fighting and mechas.
Surprise,

Total War: SHOGUN Gold Edition got released today on Impulse, $2.49.

For $2.49 I'm tempted to get it, but it's also available at gamersgate which makes me wonder if the files are identical or not. And also wondering if it will be released on steam or gog soon, as I would like to own the first medieval too, and shogun at the same place.

Psst! It runs like shit on modern hardware in hardware rendering mode. The units run away from the cursor, some parts of the interface have broken transparency etc. Might be a fix though

LOLWUT?

No problems on ATI cards?

But, serious question, anyone knows if the files from GG and Impulse are identical?

Basically I give an order to move, they think I clicked the ground somewhere behind the camera and run towards me. Main menu flickers like hell. Plus, the fix didn't really work.
It's a roulette. Some hardware will play it fine, some will break it and codecs will crash you it in cutscenes.

Gamersgate gives you an installer and post-installation the game's exe comes with Securom activation. Since Impulse doesn't really do installers, the files technically must be different.

Hmmm... tempting. It's really not singleplayer at all though, is it?

It is a bit like L4D in SP. MP is more fun, but you can't "drop in" a running game for coop, which really sucks. I guess japanese gamers are still playing the game, if you want to change your sleep cycle ;-).

The basic gameplay is entertaining enough to warrant a SP walkthrough and it has some awesome visuals. But I didn't understood even a single bit of that story. It's like one of those really f*cked up anime storylines. (And I played LP 1).

Edit: And the some of the boss fights are really intense and pure "scenery porn".

Haven't seen World in Conflict mentioned. The complete edition is on sale on GG for 4,50€, and a bit cheaper from the uk site for about 3,50€:

I'm seriously thinking about getting this, as well as Red Faction: Guerilla. Most people seem to think both are good games...

RFG is cool, and if you like Total Recall, you will find it even better. I have two copies one for PC and one for PS3.

World in Conflict complete edition is something I would probably buy if I hadn't few hours ago ordered Rise of Nations Gold. Very good modern theme RTS. Very nice story and when released very beautiful. I have the base game but not the expansion pack. (which is why I said the above)

Anyway, you can't go wrong with either game.

They are. WiC is very fast paced. Almost not an RTS in a way. Very, very action-driven. Kind of reminded me of Incoming in a way. But very enjoyable, whatever it is.

Red Faction: Guerilla gets a hell of a lot right. Sometimes the sheer destruction can make things easier. But I like to think of that as a reward for lateral thinking.
