minalim: Does anyone here recommend it, and how is DotEmu as a site to buy from?
It's ok as a point-and-click adventure, not particularly great but not horrible either. Some clashes between the story, graphics style, and voice acting but not the worst I've seen lately. The story -- think The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.
DotEmu is legit. The site design can use some work but I've got a few games from them with no problems.
After passing on like 10 awesome deals this week I finally get paid today, load up all the store sites, and find NOTHING I want.

Sucks to be me I guess.

What did you wanna buy?

DukeNukemForever: Today it's 80% off for The Abbey. It's the normal and not the directors cut version, which you can buy from the developer site and is english only, but this version offers also spanish, italianand german language support.

Steam today: Dungeon Siege 3, 20$ USD. Or you can get DS 1 & DS2 with it for 4$ more. Steam is also having a giveaway thing if you look at their daily deals
I've heard it (The Abbey) is a pretty bad adventure game. Never played it myself though.

DotEmu are legit. But perhaps a bit lazy. That's the unpatched version of the game and it's pretty buggy in that state. It's also the plain, vanilla version too. So all in all it could be a better deal.

I wouldn't call them lazy, but they are not as into it as GOG.

On the other hand, they have Hardwar.

Isn't their version a rip though? I heard it had missing FMVs and music.

I don't know, I still have (somewhere) the CD, and I haven't bought the Dotemu version to know what it has and what not.

This thread suggests that there are things missing. Apparently they've updated it, but no one's yet said whether they added everything back in or just some things.

Does anyone have a copy of Dungeon Defenders 4-pack that he/she is willing to let out for $15? I missed the Gamersgate deal and I want to play it with my buds.

Nothing in particular really other than LA Noire, which was $25 when I was broke and is now $50 everywhere again.
Gothic Complete Collection (12.5$) is today's deal at GamersGate.

You will be knee deep in black-brewed booze and awesome food soon. You can wait for LA Noire, especially as it seems to be a very bad port.

Didn't played it, but for an english speaker the directors cut version looks much more interesting: http://www.alcachofashop.com/product_info.php?language=us&products_id=33&osCsid=4ba267929fc866db639f34f04ec54e10. The reviews I read were mixed and in the few gameplay videos I watched didn't completely catched me. On the other hand the story sounds nice, there are no really bad reviews, it's multilingual (for you maybe not interesting, no french version if you're from quebec ;-)), it's drm-free and dirty cheap. Dotemu is also valid.

My recommendation: If you like adventure games and don't have others games to play, give it a try. Otherwise wait for a sale of the Directors Cut version. Unfortunately I found it only on the developers page for 10$ (don't know about drm), but personally I believe it's good enough that we will maybe see it someday on GOG.
