If you go into Borderlands expecting basically a FPS Diablo/MMO type game, it's highly worth it. I found MP far more aggravating then single player.

You won't be wowed by the story or even the gameplay. But it's an excellent stress/time waster. Go kill some things, get XP, get lootz, level up to kill things easier, to get better loot, etc, etc.

I put 64+ hours into it. For seven bucks that's hard to beat.

Unfortunately, Steam have now decided to increase the price to £67.49 for the 4-pack. That's a little under £17 per copy, so still not a bad price.

(although to be honest I've got so many effing games this past weekend it may be awhile before I get around to it. Just connected my ps3 to the net hello FFTactics, FF7/8/9, Paristie Eve 1/2, Gradia, Star Ocean 1/2, Chime (more songs on ps3 then computer), Dundgen Defenders (It is in 3d on ps3 heh) and about 10 other games I'm sure Im forgetting, and then the pc games I just picked up)

YES! Cryostasis is a survival shooter with lots of strange things going on and a great atmosphere.
Necrovision is a mix of WWI and demons from hell.
I like it a lot. esp. for the price.
I don`t know why N. got not so great reviews. It sure is something you don´t see everyday and even more so for C.

A lot of the negative reviews for Cryostasis stemmed from having terrible frame rates even on powerful computers as well as combat that wasn't exactly as smooth as many other FPSs. I think it's a great game though and if you're into survival horror you should definitely give it a go.

Must be an older version. I have been playing both on an intel HD3000 and they ran quite well. I guess those `reviewers`did not know how to tweak the Setting, since you can choose from Pixel Shader Version 2.0 to 4.0 and DX9 or 11 or something, which makes a BIG difference.
I rarely have seen a game with so many tweak option as Cryostasis.
And the C version on GG is DRM freeeeeee!

Yeah I also think C is a great game. Just that you cannot mow down everything with a minigun does not mean the combat is broken. ;)


And BTW: AMNESIA is $3 at Steam! THIS game you have to play. This is like the holy grail of horror, in a Lovecraftian way. Which means, no cheap jumps from the closet.
Just the ULTIMATE messing with your mind.
Seriously how cheap can you get.

Those are some good games. All of those and i grapped that chance. I would love to play some those again.
