BFG (Big Fish) DRM has been updated recently. Used to be once a game was activated, you could make a backup of it. Any games released before April-May of 2011 could even be backed up onto a freshly formatted computer and play with no issues. Any games released after that date must be completely re-downloaded. Even if the hidden ProgramData file is transported from the old machine, I suppose registry entries block the game from correctly running.

I don't have a screenshot, but the newly released games prompt for a key for activation, and it looks similar to a SecuROM activation screen.
