This includes World of Goo which is awesome. I'm sure everyone knew that already though. It's also not any cheaper, you just get 4 other games with it.
I see Dook Nookem is still $9.99 on impulse NA despite them saying it was for one day only.

$40 off retail in under 100 days. A $5 christmas price is all but guaranteed now.

Would be useful if we could gift games from packs. But then for those particular games and at that price it's still good even if you have a couple of them I think.

Not if you have three out of the five games in the packs like I do. Valve should either discount the pack for people who already have some of the games like GOG do or they should allow you to gift the surplus because the way things stand it's just a waste if you have the majority of a pack.

kavazovangel: So it is like GOG then?

grviper: Provided you do the downloader backup trick, and the game comes with no online DRM, sort of. Just to make sure I'll be downloading both SFs in the Universe overnight to test them tomorrow.
Can you let me know how the Other DRM worked? Was it simply writing down the Serial Key after using the GG trick? Thanks.

Spellforce Universe = $4.99

grviper: Hell yeah
Things worthy of attention in the current GG sale - Cold Zero, Experiment 112, The Sting!, Harbinger (if you're desperate for a sci-fi Diablo clone), Genesis Rising (a generic RTS with blood, blood, blood).

BUT AVOID THIS
Note about Harbinger:

I posted this on the GamersGate Game Tutor also:

It's noted in the game System Requirements "Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP. NOT VISTA/W7!"

I did not see that until buying and attempting an install. I have W7 and of course, the GamersGate installer would not install. A message window popped up saying the game is not compatible on my OS.

Well, messages like that just make me a determined fella.

Knowing the trick on copying the installing batch/executable, I thought I could experiment.

This may take several tries of running the installer, but you must quickly lurk in the Harbinger install folder and copy/paste the setup.exe before it changes back to "launch". Make sure and "KEEP" your install files. Set the compatility to WinXP (service pack 3) for the setup-copy.exe and then click the "Run as Admin" check box. Click OK and double click the .exe. Voila! The game will install. Be sure and manually run the HarbingerCfg.exe in your game folder to set up the video and sound. Runs great.

Among this whole GG sale I definitely URGE you get this game. It´s a mix of mysterie, experiment gone wrong survival horror investigation adventure.
You will unlikely find another game like this. And in my book it got all the things right, though some keycode hunting in emails and similar stuff can get tedious.
It feels `realisitc´in a quite unnerving way, as you actually communicate from your side of the computer screen via the surveilance cameras with the the only survivor and help her escape. Great Game!

OK, GamersGate Spellforce Universe is pretty much DRM free. Backed up installation packages work, then you run the game with no BS popping up, and type in the serial in the main menu.
One of you used to have a link to a bat which allowed you to automatically copy the setup file from the GG installation. Can you please provide the link again?
Schizm 2 - 3D Myst clone. Har-r-rd.

Cold Zero is something along the lines of ye olde Airborne Ranger, but more sneaky and detailed. You use point and click controls, but have only one character to order to. You buy guns and other equipment and go on missions where you do a lot of hiding and killing. Clothes color must match the environment for better camouflage. Guns can jam, can be rigged with scope and silencer, and sometimes allow the use of different types of ammo.
The character gains XP and has upgradeable skills. Anyway, get it.
