Alpha Protocol for $2 at Steam is damn crazy... I paid $5 and now I envy the $2. =p

Total War pack for $17 is really cheap too, I just wish either GOG or Steam had the first Shogun and the first Medieval for sale.

DotEmu has Escape From Paradise City $4.99, Gang Land $4.99. And now they've added the Cultures Anthology, which seems a nice Settlers-clone... and surprise, they added Fallout.

I find the difference between the user rating on the main page banner and the game page disturbing.

It was just added, not even 2 weeks. I guess that's not a 0, it's that no one rated it yet.

And sincerely, I never look into these ratings...

pigdog: Awesome latest GoG promo
Indeed, 60% minus on the whole pack is quite good. On the other hand, if you would want only one game like i do its incredibly lame. Only 20% off mah Planescape? Orly? o.O
Looks like i must make do with Alpha Protocol then. ^.^

(btw AvP 2010 sucks grammar nazi balls)

On the contrary. IMO AvP 2010 is a very enjoyable shooter and I don't regret purchasing it.

Buy it on GG and back up the installer for all eternity. I don't know why their game page says DRM: Securom however.

Yeah, I like it too.
Anyone know when D2D started redirecting EU users to their co.uk website?

Like Alpha Protocol, Aliens V Predator (2010) was mercilessle slaughtered by critics for no real reason I can fathom and the webtrolls picked up the reviews like Alpha Protocol and ran with it. At release the MP was horribly unbalanced and almost unplayable but the single player was a brilliant Aliens game and I throughly enjoyed it. I've heard the MP has been extensively patched since then but the trolls have done their job and it's a ghost town.
Ah, Delixe, so good to hear someone who shares my opinion on all the things! :D

The moral of this story is everyone should give AvP2010 and Alpha Protocol a chance and be more cautious when reading game reviews.

Btw. Do any GoGers think any of the CoH expansions is worth it for the campaign mode? They're ridiculously cheap on Steam now so I was wondering...

Opposing Fronts has extremely good campaigns on offer. Crazy-good value at that price.

Seriously? O_O
Hot damn, I'd have gotten the GamersGate version a lot sooner if I'd known that!

Well, as I discovered just this evening, you can also simply back up the Steam's installed game's folder, since the new rendering engines replace the exe and remove the taint of Steam launcher from it.
With GamersGate you get an installer, but from the talk on their tutor about activation keys and CD not found errors (due to crappy .ini setup) I suspect that might not be the best version.

What new rendering engines?
