It happened to me also a while ago, I asked them why suddenly they need phone comprobations, and recieved a bunch of stupid excuses.
So it seems that anyone that they can't call, and it seems they aren't calling anyone internationally, can't buy form them. Their loss.

If you write to D2D support, they can fix that for you. At least for me they did, and really quickly, too (a few hours, I think). I honestly don't know why they even use this system.

Activision still selling the original Call of Duty for $19.99 regular price is ridiculous. $9.99 on sale at steam and $14.95 at d2d isn't a sale at all.

Why?

Because just like Blizzard, they are not lowering the price years after it was released to draw more sales.
Activision does the same with Vampire Bloodlines, pretty much.

So? If there are still buyers there's no point in lowering prices. That's business.

True. There are examples where prices aren't lowered when clearly they should be, but the COD series isn't one such example.
