grynn: I'd buy if it was $5, but for $15 all I wanna say is just meh.

StingingVelvet: I guess any shooter is worth $5 to me, but honestly this is the worst shooter I have played in years. It's just really badly done.
To put StingingVelvet's hatred of the game in context, I've heard more bad things about Homefront than any other game I can think of off hand. There is not even a tiny cult fanbase for it. I haven't heard even a "Get it on a ludicrous sale" until the post I'm replying to.

Although I agree there were few redeeming factors to the game that would make me chose it over the alternatives I did get a decent 40-ish hours out of the multiplayer which actually wasn't all that bad. It just wasn't particularly good either, and there were irregular cheaters. But overall it was decent enough to play and have fun with. It's just, there weren't any destructable environments, and the airstrikes really became annoying on some maps after people started getting enough points.

Now though, simply put, it has been abandoned. I wouldn't recommend getting it, nor would i have at release, but since I had it already anyway I think I got my money's worth at least, even if it was shortlived for an FPS.
I was speaking solely of the singleplayer, for the record.

Why should one avoid it on sale for the single player value of it? What's wrong with it?

jesskitten: Yeah, and the DRM comes with two of the DLCs (Dr Ned, Moxxi) but not the other two. So there's an activation limit on two of them that my friend had to call them to reset, but he could go into the base game + other 2 (well, other 1 at the time) fine heh. It's kind of a halfway-legacied DRM they haven't removed I guess.
They refuse to remove the Securom, I guess they can't spare the five minutes to do it OR TO FIX ALL THOSE GAMEPLAY AND MAP BUGS.

If you don't like Steam or Amazon, Borderlands GOTY is also on OnLive for $5, too. Poor, poor OnLive. :P

Click
Two worlds 2 would have been nice but it read that it's only available for certain counrties (didn't include me.. I mean my country). So pretty much that site can ducktape itself and fall off from a cliff.
Steam Daily Deal - Garshasp: The Monster Slayer 66% off.

Just as I though :P
Also while technically not a gaming deal, if you have an Alienware Arena account with more than the starter 1 point or so as of yesterday, their monthly ARP raffle draw is open for 2.5 days. (2 21" HD monitors, 2 Deus Ex: HR, 2 WoW 60 day game cards and 2 Dell.com $50 gift cards...)

Well it's basically a Call of Duty singleplayer campaign only much less polished or interesting. Also it is 3 hours long, and I say that as someone who usually takes longer than most people to finish a game.
