Damn now I have dilema; spend cash on Steam or gog anniversary promo. I'm thinking about Perimeter 2. Anyone played it? Is it good or as bad as metascore show?
Well if you're one to get all upset over unproven claims that a publisher isn't paying developers, then avoid the Steam (Strategy First) sale. As while that publisher has had proven claims in the past of not paying developers, some current developers are now claiming the same thing (and then failing to provide proof or to take legal action).
Personally, it doesn't bother me either way. These developers could have easily done their homework and if they really are owned money from the publisher, then they should be solving that issue on their own. Why should you deny yourself a good deal on a game just because of some unproven claims that are, so far, only being made by forum posts?

Okay, thank for the tip then :-).
The decent Strategy First games are on GOG which I prefer over Steam. I would really only be interested in Port Royale 2 which is a bargain at €1.99. Most of the others like Ducati and Perimeter 2 have got terrible reviews.

Waah waah. Some of the discounted games are only available in North Amerika (Dawn of Discovery, Sacred 2 at least)! Waah Waah Discrimination! Racism! Violation of Human Rights! :P
Also World of Goo is 9.99$

I found Dawn of Discovery overrated.

Steam does the same. Funny, isn't it?
The ENTIRE Introversion Anthology for €26,60/$33.20/£20.00.
Also, on a related note you can get the Uplink Developer CD for €39,90/$49.80/£30.00, which includes the entire source code for the game as well as allowing you access to the Uplink development forum.

Damn it, I already bought Darwinia, the poster, and the soundtrack. Although, on the other hand, it's probably for the best, as I'm not really wanting to blow up the world in Defcon, and Uplink - although it seems fun from the demo - requires a different brain than mine to be playable.

Uplink is not that hard really. You just have to read the item descriptions and you can hack away. Really, there aren't any hard puzzles in the game, just have to read a bit :D.
Civ IV Complete is at Gamersgate. I've been waiting for a sale like this for quite some time, so I'll probably pick it up.
I'm not sure -which- "complete edition" this is, though. One includes Colonization, the other doesn't, and this page sends a mixed message.

Of course, before people get too excited, the Civ 4 deal is regionally restricted to the US. The game is sold without such restrictions but at the wonderful deal price of $35.95 (and more for Europe)
