I bought Sniper elite yesterday, Pretty good game so far...

bansama: The deal this week is the Hidden Gem deal (which I caved in on and bought) and the Unreal games. There will be no new deals now until after the 31st.

Ok, then I'm going to buy EWJ 1+2 now.^^

For a few seconds there I was trying hard to remember what game "The Hidden Gem" is and why I never heard about it before. :P
Anyone bought Nemesis of the Roman Empire from Impulse? Is it working on 64 bit Vista?
Anyway, about Steam. I'm not a big fan of it, but I like to use it sometimes (OK, all the time) when I don't like going out into direct sunlight to buy games.
That said, the deals there aren't bad, but I really don't get Sniper Elite and why people love it so much. Is it really that good?

It's a semi-realistic sniper game were you have to sneak and you can't stay in one place for to long. It's thrilling as you never know when you could get caught by the enemy. Not to mention doing long range kills is an awesome experience. Good thinking game. Even my grandfather has played it and like it and he is bad at action games.
Gamer's gate is having a sale on the Gothic series. $17 on the entire set or $9 for just Gothic three.

I was thinking of getting it but I've gone off the idea while typing, I'm sure my lappy won't run it
offtopic, but Impulse added new titles to it's Paradox library
Steam sale - All Strategy First game 50% off. Jagged Alliance 2 Gold + Disciples 2 Gold for $14.99? Damn, now this one's tempting... nah, scratch that; I'd rather pay $5 more on GOG here to get all the bonus materials and DRM-free.
But some of the $2.49 games are still tempting...
Edit 2: Jesus Christ, I just realized that, without this sale, they effectively priced some of their games twice as expensive as GOG :o

It's possible they've fixed it, but the Steam version of JA2 was broken for about six million years
How was it broken?

If I recall, the Gold version fixed what was broken (I can't remember what was).

isn't it great when you know a bit of math :)
Damn now I have dilema; spend cash on Steam or gog anniversary promo. I'm thinking about Perimeter 2. Anyone played it? Is it good or as bad as metascore show?

Aliasalpha: How was it broken?

Minor details. In JA2 you had unlimited money, and in the expansion you couldn't save at all.
