prakaa: The one hour i played of Borderlands felt like it was a repetitive shooter, but then again, this was when i had a crappy computer, and just singleplayer.
It is repetitive, it's like 1st person Diablo really, it's all about the loot!
I finished borderlands in single player and I thought it was fun.

But if games like Diablo, Torchlight or Titan Quest makes you feel bored with its repetitiveness, you probably won't like Borderlands.

It's probably best to wait for a sale of Borderlands GOTY version though.

Didn't realize this was for both people. Only for people who sign up new I think though.
will the GG version of Borderlands also stop co-op with a player who has the GOTY?

I would just avoid it full stop. The GOTY was on steam for £12.50 or so over christmas, so there is a fairly good chance it'll be similar or cheaper during the summer sale.

Nah its me who has the GOTY $7.50 thanks to a kind US user, I was wanting to do more co-op so this would be for a friend but if the different versions arnt compatable there is no point.

It was even cheaper just a few months ago. I think I got mine for what... $6-7?

I think you click on my referral, register and buy the $5 or more game, and we both get the $5 credits.

From GMG refer a friend page:
Share this link with your friends and when they start buying, you’ll start earning. For every friend you refer who then spends a minimum of $5.00, we will credit both your accounts $5.00. If you’ve got lots of mates, you could be quids in!
Looking into GreenManGaming can anyone confirm something for me?

Some games say 'Requires steam to play' fair enough since steam is a DRM itself but some games don't say anything at all, for example Two Worlds 2, Dawn of Magic and Kings Bounty the Legend have no mention of DRM whatsoever or steam mention, does this mean they are 100% DRM free?

No it means it uses GreenMan's own DRM which is like Steam. It's a launcher program which encrypts the game files. You need to log in at least once every three days to play the games.

They have securom. On first play they will first activate the game by contacting gmg server, after that I the game will periodically contact their server again to make sure it's still on your account.

I think they have to do this since most games on there is tradable.

It has an additional SecuRom copy protection which "calls home" every 3 days.

Ugh what a dissappointment, i thought for sure it might be another DRM free retailer (on certain games) but if i need some sort of client or launcher program i won't be using their website.
