Is Hydrophobia any good?

Foxhack: So guess what showed up on TF2 just now?

I suspect the sale starts on July 4, if not sooner.
The MWM deal ends at 10am on the 30th as opposed to 4pm that is generally used. Couple that with the Killing Floor summer event starting on the same day that deal ends and if there is a summer sale, that'll be when it starts.

Rohan15: Is Hydrophobia any good?
Just finished up the first Act of the game and so far it's pretty fun, it's got a little bit of platforming, some swimming (I'm sure there's gonna be a good deal more later on), and just got introduced to the gunplay in the last minutes of the Act but it feels solid so far. Voice acting is alright, it could be better but I'm not complaining too much about it.

Garugo: snippity
Hmm...pity I can't run it. Looks nice.

My best friend played it on the 360. He said it was a good game, but that it had a non-ending.

I think for £2.50 you can't really get a much lower price for it, it probably won't go on sale again for ages or at least until christmas (there isn't a guarantee it will though) which is why i will probably pick it up soon.

As for your computer not being able to run it, well once you buy it you own the game forever so if in a years time or whatever when you might upgrade your computer you could always play it then.

Navagon: D2D seems inclined to prove that nothing has changed since the buyout and is doing their standard Vampire The Masquerade sale.
Oh wow i've been after that game for ages! Can't believe it's on sale but why D2D -_-

It's on steam but it NEVER goes on sale, in all the years it's been on there it hasn't gone on sale once.

Anyone answer a few questions since i really want to pick this up?

1. Does it have DRM, or do i need to install anything to play D2D games?
2. Does the game work on Windows 7 (no mention of it).

Stronghold Complete 5$ Gamersgate
Icewind Dale is Impulse's Daily Deal for 25% off or $7.49. Imo, wait until GOG has a sale instead, but I suppose if you're desperate... :P
Yet another game giveaway via the Paradox Forum Newsletter (previously they gave crusader kings codes away). This time they're offering Birth of America 2: Wars in America for free to celebrate Pride of Nations release. Since I already own the game I have one code spare (redeemable at Gamersgate).

Code has been used!

Steam has had it on sale before just not recently. I seem to recall it coming up a few times on Halloween among others.

I have the steam version but Direct2Drive doesn't require extra software. Worst case scenario it would ask for online authentication to unlock the executable or something similar.

If you play it you will want to run the latest unofficial patch from the community. It has many enhancements and fixes. I'm pretty sure the latest unofficial patch works with Direct2Drive version as well.

If it hasn't changed since I bought it, it's some kind of cd-key activation. With limited activations. I don't know exactly which DRM system, but seems to be from sony.

It's my only game with this type of DRM, because it was marked as DRM-free back then. GamersGate handles these limits for you, but I still wish I had chosen a refund.

That's because it's supposed to be chapter based....or so I heard. More is on the way, someday. Care to take bets as to whether part 2 of Hydrophobia will come before or AFTER hl2: Episode 3?

Chapter based? Kind of sounds like it might be a ripoff but for £2.50.... i still might buy it.
