akwater: I think EU3 is more complex, Civ 5 I think is more fun however :)
Is Civilization V become better after the latest patch ?

Mentalepsy: I'm considering Magicka for $5 on Gamersgate, provided I can master my animosity towards Steam, but I've also heard that the single player is wretchedly tedious. Is it worth getting if I only ever play alone?
i HAVEN0'T BEEN ABLE TO GET PAST THE SECOND CHAPTER ON MY OWN.

oh crap, sorry about the caps...

The problem with single player Magicka is this:

1) Checkpoint system. You die, you go back to the beginning of the chapter or some checkpoint a few screens away. Since you're likely to die a lot on some spots, it gets repetitive fast.

2) The real fun in Magicka is playing with your friends and accidentally kiling yourselves in all sorts of crazy ways possible, since friendly fire is active at all times. It is easier, because four guys can handle mobs better than one and if you die, you have your friends to revive you and continue playing, instead of constantly going back to checkpoints.

So be prepared to replay some screens a lot if you're on your lonesome. It got too frustrating and pointless to me, simce monsters don't give you experience or drops, so killing them turns into a chore. Only bosses drop stuff you can use and you can only carry your staff and a sword (that's all you have in your "inventory"). Experience or "leveling up" is nonexistant. The story is funny and the real entertainment is in multiplayer co op.

I don't think it's too difficult by yourself as long as you are constantly casting on the move. Most of the first two chapters involve goblins anyways and its fairly straightforward to just spam arcane fireballs at them. Then again, I also had the machine gun from the Vietnam expansion, which makes it easier to "run and gun" too.

I'm only on Chapter 3 atm though, so it could be harder further on.

Holy shit. I'm missing a great opportunity. I'll get money next week. And it's then too late. =/

Edit: Well, it should cost a bit over 4 euros but seems like they just change the currency sign. It would be great deal still.

See if you can buy here: http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-BAAGOTY/batman-arkham-asylum-game-of-the-year-edition

£2.99 (~€3.50) is a lot better than the €5.99 they're asking.

Thanks for the try but as said, I don't have money until next wednesday finnish time. Now my account says 0.77 € =)
But perhaps I'll try buy that way in future.
Yeah, I'm keeping my eye on the UK site now. It's sad, EU based company and still it's better to buy in UK/US :)

I have no idea what you are talking about. =) Is steamworks same as steam as in valve?

ne_zavarj: Is Europa Universalis III: Chronicles or Civilization V more complex ?
EU3 by a mile. You can pick up Civ 5 within an hour or two. EU3 will take you some time to fully figure out.

yes, somehow, it makes a personalized Version of you games. So no more DRM checks are needed, because "your DNA is imprinted in the game", as far as I gather.
I need to try AVP (Sega) finally, which uses it.

Anyway, I found the GWFL gives you 3 or 4 installs per month.

Should be Ok I guess.

No. It's a GFWL title. Even the Steam version uses GFWL.
