dyscode: PS: If Steam SummerSale (which became more like the Myth of Avalon ;) ) doesn´t start soon GG gets all the money. The notched up severely since beginning of June.
I'm still going to wait for it. Remember, Steam operates under Valve Time after all.

I have Bioshock 1 on Steam, and it doesn't use GFWL.

[qNot only the demo...
I purchased the metal case edition when it came
out; it had Securom in its worst form: at first it
killed my dvd-drive and finally my whole system.
The last hardcopy I ever purchased...and the last DRM
game in my whole life. That's for sure.

It´s not a doubt it will come but it won´t get much cheaper soon either and Bioshock 2 isn´t on Steam, at least not in Japan! - again!! :-(
Anyway in 3 years both will be $5 on whatever Gaming Portal and in 5 years it´s coming to GOG anyway. ;D
Either way you see, it´s a Win-Win or a Lose-Lose situation. Depending on your perspective.
;D

Pheace: Already bought this when Steam had Bioshock 1+2 on sale a couple of weeks ago though xD
But yeah, nice sales the last week or so. (although I'd never buy a game I can't complete at some point, looking at you Borderlands >.>)
I see you point and it doesn´t seem also that you need more time to bury in online Games, then you already spent on TF2! XD
Saying that I am actually so glad Fallout 3/NV doesn´t have Multiplayer. There is still a life to live.
LOL

lol. Although I do play it a lot as well these days most of the time you see it on it's just the game minimized for easy access if someone wants to trade. In the meantime I watch video's or play other games on my list ;)
Ability to save requires a GFWL account? Am I understanding that correctly?

You need a GFWL account for playing. It can be an offline account though. You might be able to play without a GFWL account, but you won't be able to save the game.

As I recall it, yes. I own it on Steam and remember the same message popping up when I played.

With GFWL you just make an offline profle and you never need to bother with GFWL again.
I would like to get Bioshock 2, but frak GFWL. Seriously. Recently I decided to get any multiplatform game with any restrictive DRM only on PS3. For PC games I will try to only get DRM free games.
Not that I don't already have many DRMed games, including GFWL games, but enough is enough with this shit.

Thanks, Delixe, I may consider it. But I'm kind of in the same camp as Trusteft. I'm sick of all this bullshit copy protection/DRM. I mean, ffs, the game already has SecuROM but you also have to make an GFWL account to save your frakking game? This is seriously over the top bullshit. And the Bioshock series gets less of a break on this due to the bullshit DRM problems I had when I bought the first one.
Plus, u could only get patches for your games from Gfwl
