taczillabr: I need a steam sale of this, at $10.
It doesn't sound like my kind of FPS at all, but I'd try it for that price. I just hope the hand holding isn't as tight as I've heard.
avatar
taczillabr: Do they really think people will still pay $19.99 for those Capcom games? and I guess they're missing DLCs on PC.
There are DLC's for Dead Rising 2 on the GFWL store. The Resident Evil 5 DLC was shitcanned though.

Well it's sort a reskinned BFBC2, so it must be good. It kinda failed, so it might be $10 to $15 in the next steam sale, yes.

And GFWL won't accept my purchase of these, couldn't even purchase those $1 games they had...

I know RE5 doesn't have it all because I've seen a Gold Edition, exclusive to consoles. Don't know anything about DR2 though.

Keep an eye on GamersGate, they recently started selling the GTA IV expanions which activate on GFWL. It might just be 2K/Rockstar at the moment but it's still nice to see them available outside the GFWL store.

Cool, thanks for the tip.

You're more in control in BFBC2 than, from what I'm lead to believe, you are in MoH. That's quite a major consideration for me given that I actually like being able to play the games I buy. Not being able to open doors by myself without assistance and always being at the back of the queue make it sound a lot less pertinent to my interests than BFBC2 was.

Delixe: Direct2Drive have a Rockstar 75% off sale however... lots of the games like Bully, Midnight Club II and GTA: San Andreas are only available for purchase in the US, UK and Canada. Also the D2D EU store now re-directs to the UK store. We wanted to know what plans Gamefly had for D2D and I guess now we know.
There's a workaround for Midnight Club II to work on Vista and Win7. You have to change a hex value in the .exe.

GTA IV on sale again. Is that not the most overrated game of alltime? When it came out all I kept seeing were 10.0's, proclamations from IGN that it's the greatest game of alltime. Nobody ever talks about it at all anymore except when it's on sale and there's never a instabuy, you must own this game comment.

At launch and a long time after it people rubbished it for it's poor performance and horrid DRM. This is a shame as GTA IV is in fact a superb game. I didn't like the serious direction they took the series in but The Ballad of Gay Tony is very much a return to the sillyness of Vice City. For the price it's on sale at D2D yes I would call it an instabuy. Get the basic GTA IV and buyt the two addons Gay Tony and Lost and Damned as DLC so you can use the DLC content in the base GTA IV game.

I'm still playing through GTA4 and at least for me the game is excellent and a must have unless you dislike the genre. I didn't even know I liked sandbox games previous to owning it. I haven't played the expansion yet but the main story is pretty good.

Remember to use a refer-a-friend coupon if you plan to buy from D2D to get an additional 15% discount.

I have a question: if I buy the DLC do I download it through GFWL or does it come with a different installer? Is the DLC region restricted through GFWL or can I input my code even if my GFWL id is from Mexico?

I bought the codes on GamersGate I assume they are the same from D2D. You load up the GFWL marketplace app and redeem the code and download there. When you log into GTA IV GFWL the DLC should be there to use. There are no region restrictions I was aware of.

Thanks I'll give it a try. With the coupon it's $10 for both of them so I won't lose much even if it doesn't work.

GoJays2025: Day 2 of Ubisoft's 25 year anniversary sale:
Shooter Bundle - 21 games for $66.25
avatar
taczillabr: What was in Day 1, Monday?

Surprised that Ubi also sells The Settlers 2 there, I thought it was only available on GOG. Would be nice if both GOG and their store had that The Settlers 2 modern remake.
Day 1 was simulation - HAWX, Blazing Angels, Silent Hunter, etc.

Looks like tomorrow might be a sports bundle.

I think today's 2 pounder deal might be the best, pity we can't get that.

Is it just me or for the past month has GoG been the only online digi store to get excited about?

Next time I start to get a steady income, I'm going to be hitting GoG pretty hard.

Probably not just you, but then again a lot of goggers that will probably agree with you are downright crazy.

That's right I went there

Just kidding.... maybe

If the Summer sale starts in two weeks like it did last year I think you you'll see plenty of excitement for a while :)
