Foxhack: I bought it DRM free a while back for the same price.

I kinda want to double dip, but I wonder if I can get a free Steam key from the developer instead. :p

Taleroth: Has that ever worked for you? Because I double dip a lot.
i think he mentioned giving Steam keys a while back, but that was - a while back -.

kalirion: True. I spent over an hour trying to get the optional "VVV - Doing things the hard way" part. Failed. I'll probably go back to it someday - maybe after beating Super Meat Boy Dark World...
Are you sure you want this? o_O
VVVVVV is a great, solid game. The controls are simple, the levels are fun and challenging, and the music is very, very good. You will die. A lot. But it never gets too frustrating (infinite lives, instant respawn, frequent checkpoints). All the elements come together to make a smart and creative platformer.

Just a warning for those who don't know: Running CCleaner will by default delete your save, so remove that folder from CCleaner if you use that program (don't know if it's the case for other apps with the same function). Just thought I'd throw it out there though.

Telling CCleaner not to delete Adobe Flash files is all you need to do to protect your saves.
Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up. It's been a while so I forgot exactly what I did, but just wanted to warn about the fact it did delete it.

Luisfius: The daily Steam deal is vvvvvvvv for 2.49 bucks. Is it any good?
Very good. I picked it up during the Thanksgiving indie pack sales on Steam. Played through it several times on the first day (it's short, but it can be a little on the difficult side). I highly recommend it.

It doesn't support controllers, but it comes bundled with JoyToKey instead. The executable also runs without Steam. You can be logged out, or copy the files to a computer that never even had Steam on it, so unless they changed that very recently, it's DRM free. :)

Edit: No, I just checked. It's still DRM free. The installation is very simple. The executable, a readme, and a folder with JoyToKey is all that's downloaded to the folder. Just back up the game somewhere and it's one of those few Steam games you can own forever. Go nuts.

Also, I've just been refunded for Fallout 3 GOTY. They made me an offer to get Fallout 3 for $10. I think I'll just wait for Steam's summer sale or a sale on Direct2Drive, thank you. ;)

Lastly, it's probably worth mentioning that GamersGate seems to have "Grand Theft Auto - The Complete Pack" on sale for $25. Not too shabby, especially if you've somehow avoided the series to date. I love Grand Theft Auto. :)

Midnight Club II is also on sale for $3. At the very least, the sales are available in the US and UK, possibly elsewhere, and the prices are roughly the same, with the former being £17.48 and the latter at £1.79

Kabuto: I know. I did play through the entire game. That still doesn't mean you won't die a lot or struggle mightily to get to certain checkpoints

That's the easy part. Wait till you try to get the "Die less than XXX number of times" achievements, or the "don't die at all" one. You'll be flinging keyboards out the window :P

Nevertheless, excellent game. Its simplicity is surprisingly its charm, though I would never have said this if I hadn't went ahead to buy the game.

By the way does anyone want a Determinance key? I will trade it for a $6 GOG or a Gamersgate game of equivalent value. Reason I'm selling is because I already got one long ago via Garage Games.

Petrell: Bully: Scholarship Edition at GamersGate for 2.99€/£ (70% off) for 4 hours 30 minutes.
Dammit...I missed a game i've been wanting for near forever. Anyone know what the lowest price is online for this title?

Not gonna happen, because I'm not even going to try :)

If you're desperate, you could try finding a used copy, especially one for consoles, but as far as digital downloads go, it's $15 unless you want a sale. Maybe there are more places that sell Bully, but here's the deals4downloads page.

Bought it for $3.75 a few weeks ago on Steam during a similar Rockstar week sale.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but everyone who activated their Humble Bundle 1 key on Steam got a free copy of Samorost 2 recently. I've been playing it, it's fun.

Thanks, I was wondering when that'd get on there.

Aww sucks :(

Was kind of a strange situation @ gamestop to begin with. Maybe it was that way because they just bought Impulse.

I'm actually rather relieved to have gotten a refund. It would've meant GameStop would've gotten money from me for the first time in years, and I was feeling a good amount of regret for that.

I was also worried they'd find some way to give me a version of the game that'd I'd have to download from them and not activate on Steam, which would've been horrible since they limit your downloads and I'd much prefer to have it on my Steam account than have to use their service. That, and I was also worried the refund would be a game of my choice from them, when I just wanted a Steam key for Fallout 3 GOTY or nothing else.

I had to wait a few days for no good reason, but at least I didn't get fucked over. I can put this behind me now like it never happened. Hopefully it'll be on sale soon. I'll buy it from someplace better the next time it's on sale for $15 or less. :)
