Technically speaking and going by it's name, "Midweek Madness", the sale is not a week long one. It typically runs from Tuesday through Thursday -- although Valve being Valve, they have on occasion started it on a Wednesday or ended it on Wednesday.

Still, they are bound to have another summer sale towards the end of next month and the games you're after may end up discounted then.

It's a pretty good sale for the two or three people who don't yet own the games on Steam. For the other several million of us though... =S

On everything? Portal 2 + Alice for the price of one sounds amazing. If only I wasn't so cheap (I can easily afford to buy it) I blame the constant high discount sales as the reason I've become like this.

Well, I have -no problem- with them giving away a copy of the game to new buyers. I consider it a bonus.

The problem is that this has only been confirmed for consoles - they haven't said A WORD about the PC version! I have a retail copy of Alice I wouldn't mind selling if I could use the profits to buy the sequel.

1) At first the PC version of Madness Returns is delisted.
2) Checking it in a roundabout way, it doesn't have the DD of the original.

WHY?!

Edit: Looking further, apparently EA is doing a bundle with a remaster of the original for the PC.

"Alice: Madness Returns - The Complete Collection", is how EA is calling it. I wish the original game comes to GOG... I don't use the EA Store.

Nope, it's not a remaster. I keep getting redirected to the Mexican site, but this is what shows up for me - the original game, a weapon and dress pack, and Madness Returns.

Edit: Wow, nice going EA. This way you ensure that the price of the old disc release remains high, not everyone will want to buy the game from you.

And I bet that 50% off deal mentioned earlier won't include preorders.

Their press release is calling it a remaster. The release is from today, so who knows what's going on.

People who preorder the game (any version) from Amazon or Gamestop get a download code for a soundtrack for the game. People who buy it off EA Store get Alice.
