StingingVelvet: Hey guys this site called GOG.com has the original Witcher for only $5.
avatar
lowyhong: Never heard of GOG.com or Witcher.

By the way, if you sign up for Spy Party's beta access now, you can pre-order Spy Party at a cheaper price than usual. The catch is that it is on a purely selective basis - you will be put into a waiting list and, I believe, chosen at random. To sign up, go here:

reaver894: I guess its a deal but a chariry shop near me has 2 big box wing commander games at £4 each couple of others too.

lowyhong: First print or re-published?

I'll buy a copy from you if it's first print.
Dunno saw it from a bus window.

orcishgamer: The GOG price to me is a pittance to prove that a no DRM release can work, so I chose GOG. Of course that's personally, but personally is what you asked about.
avatar
Pheace: You still need to register online for patches though.
I'm well aware of this, I don't think this is DRM, though it does suck. I suspect this position will be reversed.

Now suppose I'm wrong of both counts: Will I cut off my nose to spite my face? A company goes 90% of the way making a big, new release DRM free, they screw up one detail with patching, do I refuse to buy it?

My answer is no, YMMV.

I'm with you on this. Even though I actually think this is DRM, it's mild enough that I'm willing to put up with it (although I won't hesitate to point out that it is DRM in my view). Bought it, and have the pre-load files DLed. Gotta support the good guys when you can.

ARRRGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I KNOW I've heard countless people bashing Disciples III for being shit but at this price... And I LOVE Disciples 2.....

Disciples III

Should I buy it? $7.49 is just crazy good pricing especially for Aussie. Is there anyone who has played it and actually liked it?

they don't use a client, you buy it and you will get a download link for each game.

From the last packs before, there was only one game, that had a separate downloader for getting the whole game. All others can be just installed out of the box.

I was thinking of getting DWARS on Steam, saw that deal and then realized that it wasn't the same DWARFS.

But you do get the files in a manner that you can back them up to disk yourself? Because I don't think that they let you redownload.
correct, you usually get one file: setup.exe.

As I said, in one of the previous packs they offered, there were once 1 game, that had a downloader after your initial download, maybe because the game was 2 GB.

I had no issues yet installing them over and over again :)
Interesting,

Shortly after visiting Strategy First and watching a few hourglasses, my computer is starting to act again like it used to when I had visitors.

Not using Firefox are you? I just solved my problem today by uninstalling it and putting in Chrome.
