orcishgamer: The GOG price to me is a pittance to prove that a no DRM release can work, so I chose GOG. Of course that's personally, but personally is what you asked about.
You still need to register online for patches though.

Why not leave that sort of comments for the dedicated topic and stay focused on game deals here ?

Pheace: Contrary to what's mentioned in that thread, and the faulty info that *used* to be on the Gamersgate Reboot site, Space Rangers 2 Reboot does *not* need the base game. It's standalone.
That is not quite true you know. Standalone version of SR2:Reboot CONTAINS SR2. Reboot is an expansion to SR2 as it was sold as such but only Impulse does that nowadays (they sell the standalone Reboot as SR2 Complete). Pretty much everywhere else they sell only the standalone version that is SR2 + Reboot.

The problem with GG is that it still sells SR2 and only way to 'upgrade' is to buy the standalone reboot that includes base game basically forcing people to pay twice for base game.

GameRager: Um, it's ok to go offtopic as long as it isn't too much. Just saying.
Yeah, I know but the discussion about "DRM-free" and the connection needed to download patch for The Witcher 2 has been done and done in the other topic. That post seemed to be trolling for me, but it was just my opinion.

You're right, I was confusing Impulse with Gamersgate there.

No offense, but it's not my problem if you're "done" with a topic. I've barely participated in it and it just seemed right to mention it.

Nothing personal as I didn't follow that topic closely (not very interested as I find their conditions fair). I was doing that to prevent the topic to derail too much... it seems I failed :-)

People probably already have it, if they're interested in it, but Amazon is selling Magicka for $4.99. It doesn't have any of the DLC, and appears to activate through Steam:

How do the Ankh games play on Windows 7? I remember having a hard time making the first one work...
