Meh, gave the impulse forums another read and I'm just not going to step in till this whole sale business is done and possibly stardock has seperated it's services entirely from them. This is about the worst possible time to step into Impulse and know where you're standing. I can wait.

You can still buy from the UK page and pay less because the login is the same and the game doesn't appear to have region restrictions. I did that with both SupCom Gold and Titan Quest Gold to save like $1.

It can't have escaped many people's attention that this weekend is the Easter Holiday. Has anyone heard about any big sales? I seem to remember there was a Steam Easter sale last year.

Ok, it took me a while to download the game but I just checked and the GG version of SupComFA is compatible with the patch that they host (1.5.3596 to 1.5.3599) which seems to be the same as the one found here.
Also I checked the installed files with protectionID before and after applying the patch. Before the ForgedAlliance.exe had SecuROM on it and after it was removed.
I think Angie told you on Twitter that she would give you the sale price if you still wanted the game so maybe this helps you decide.
