gargus: Want deals on games that is all encompassing? Then just go to cheapassgamer.com and be done with it instead of cramming one thread full of stuff.

jimthev: Given the fact that this thread keeps turning into a chat room for people that put their pressing need to chat over respect for other people and respect for a forum topic, I'm inclined to agree with you.

Unfortunately cheapassgamer has missed out on some deals I've seen elsewhere.

Maybe somebody could make a site that takes the actual posts that contain deals from this thread and post them. That way, the knitting club could chat and people could still see deals.
Knitting club? Really?

You're being more disruptive to the thread by posting this. At least WE try to be on topic.
I usually scan through here looking for new deals but don't mind the excess discussion cause sometimes I accidentally learn things a long the way.

I do tend to scroll and read fast and just specifically look for posts entailing prices or links. So it's not too difficult to wade through.

KavazovAngel: I don't see anything.
As Christopher Lambert would say, "exactly!"

There used to be a time when Valve would at least make the effort to remove all mention of sales that didn't apply, but these days, they can't even be bothered to do that =/

In other sales related news, the Portal DLC for The Ball is actually pretty good, so it's worth picking up The Ball for that (and the main game, obviously).

Right, off to get a new cross-stitch pattern to try...
For those looking for just purely gaming deals, please use the links in provided in the OP's post.

For me, I find the discussion beneficial, plus it also helps people hook up with deals exclusive to other regions.

Perhaps we could compromise and change the thread title to Gaming Deals Discussion thread?

I can't even SEE the GTA pack sale today - if I click it it just takes me straight to a nothing. WTF.

Also, can someone tell me how much GTA 1 + 2 are in that sale - aren't they actually free from Rockstar's site????? I know I've gotten them a couple times directly from their website...

/cue dubious frown

1+2 are only on available in the pack, not available separately . And yes they are also free.

No you don't.
Don't see it so? 29 posts on the last two pages with 3 about gaming deals says otherwise. And yes, knitting club seems to fit just right.

This thread once was a fantastic resource I checked on a daily basis. Now it's just like the rest of the Internet: a giant junkpile of blabla with some pearls between it.
I know that my little rambling here won't change that and I can accept that. I also wouldn't mind it to go off topic now and then or someone using the opportunity to arrange a trading deal.
But I can understand jimthev and would have to agree with him.
