orcishgamer: Amazon.com has 5 dollars off all platforms for Portal 2 pre-orders, in addition XBox 360 and PS3 pre-orders get a 20 dollar gift credit added to the account as soon as the game ships. PC gets the middle finger instead.

dr.zli: what's about this deal, is this true?
http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/01/ps3-portal-2-to-come-with-free-pcmac-version-cross-platform-play.ars
There was talk about that a while ago, as far as I know its true
Yes it's true the PS3 version unlocks the PC and Mac versions on Steam as the PS3 version will use Steam. Unsure if a PC or Mac version unlocks the PS3 version but I would be surprised if it didn't.

Talk about overkill!

Tages would be overkill on a £1000 bit of software. There's no way it could ever be justified on anything. Same goes for Starforce.
D2D
Torchlight - $3.75

Restrictions may apply, see site for details.

Also be careful, I am not sure if there is a problem currently or if D2D doesn't like me, but it just locked me out of purchasing (3 unsuccessful attempts) even though I have funds and my weshop coupon.

*laughs*

I love Stardock forums .

They removed my " Don't Buy XIII from Impulse" thread , and i got this PM :
Island Dog
Sent Today, 6:10 PM

It is really not necessary to make !!!! posts "warning" people not to buy something on Impulse. Really, please tone it down.

well so far all the windows versions unlocked mac versions (where available), it would be very nice if they did that with ps3 versions but I somehow doubt it :(

Hi. I downloaded the Torchlight demo, and I'd like to keep my character. If I bought Torchlight today on D2D, could I use my character?

Wait and see. Part of Gabe Newell's keynote speach at Sony E3 last year that one of the benefits of Steam was only having to buy one version of the game. Of course he could have meant that only applies to the PS3 version but never the less if you buy a Steamplay game currently you do get all versions of that game.

I'm sure, but backup your save before installing the full version just in case.

If it applies to all the platforms then that would be awesome, well we'll see what future holds for steam :)

On Runic Games and Steam you could, so I'm quite positive you also can keep him with D2D. (Note that since May 2010 keys from other retailers will probably not work for a Steam activation anymore.)
