Metro09: At $5.60 to $7.50 for the GoTY version you can't go wrong (unless you don't want SecuRom installed on your system) -- Borderlands isn't anything amazing but it is decent fun if you like casual FPS games mixed with light Diablo-esque elements. Only DLC I bought so far was Knoxx and I don't think I even finished it. Pondering Clap Trap but I'm not sure the game has any more life left for me.

Knoxx is easily the 'best' DLC as it is the longest (although some of that is padded by driving time) and has a more developed story. Only buy Moxxi if you regularly play co-op as it is just a straight up arena grind.

MGShogun: Does either version (original and GOTY) has Securom? I just want to be absolute 100 percent sure before I get it. I don't want DRM on my dear PC.
The original version on Steam doesn't have SecuROM. The GOTY version has it because of 2 DLCs that need it.
Are Borderland DLC worth the price or is it all the same just to buy the standard version of the game? I didn't much care for Fallout 3 DLC stuff.

Thanks very much for your reply. Very helpful! I shall get the original, then. :D

Buy at least General Knoxx since that gives you a massive boost in maximum levels. Btw I liked them all but the Mad Moxxi one.
I'd say General Knoxx is the only worthwhile DLC -- plus you avoid SecuRom. All I've heard about Clap Trap is that it is 'short' and not as good as Knoxx which isn't a very ringing endorsement. Regarding levels there was a recent patch that increased the maximum to 68 or something including the base game itself. So Knoxx is no longer required to unlock any level caps.

That's level 69 and Knoxx is still needed.

It is probably shorter than Knoxx, but Knoxx had far too much padding, I spent so long faffing around in vehicles driving from A to B. As for quality, each to his own, I probably enjoyed Clap Trap more than Knoxx.

Wow definitely in for a 4-pack of Borderlands... $5.50 for the game and all its DLCs is too good to pass up. Does somebody still have a copy available?

Or do two more people want to go in on a four pack because I'm willing as well.

It wouldn't have been so bad if every time I loaded the game up, I wasn't back at that station in the middle of nowhere, a long drive away from anywhere I might have wanted to be.

EDIT: On reflection though, I probably had the most fun with Zombie Island Of Dr Ned. I guess playing as the soldier, shotgunning away, it all made sense.

Got a 4-pack going. I've got a spot reserved for you. I'll let you know who to give your money to if you're still interested.
