bansama: I'd almost be tempted to buy 123 kick it. If it wasn't for the name. Sorry, but just don't want a game called "kick it like an ugly baby" in my games list.

Zeewolf: Funny, I almost bought it precisely because it has such a great name. Though apparently it's still in alpha, so I think I'll wait.

Also, I'd like to remind everyone that Nimbus is still 50% off on Steam. If you haven't bought it yet, well, you really should because it's not a game anyone should miss.
Yeah, it's still in alpha - but you'll get the full version once it's done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiaixSCyPgw was enough to get me to buy it...
Direct2Drive:

Command & Conquer 4 - $4.95 (Although, I still don't really think it is really worth it at that price, lol)
Restrictions may apply, see site for details.

D2D seem to be doing daily sales for April but it's only on the US site. Worth keeping an eye on as not all the D2D US games are US/Canada restricted. C&C4 is being an EA game though.
I tried Cogs but it pissed me off on the THIRD puzzle. Glad I didn't buy it.

I stuck to Wonderful End of the World (the character is now a potato, what the hell?) and 123 Kick It. 123 reacts very strangely to my music, haha.
Looks like GamersGate is having an RPG themed sale this week. And Precursors and Xenus 2 White Gold get a 50% off sale. Not as good as say on Beam Dog, but at least you won't have any annoyances with a client =)

I'll buy White Gold for the second time I guess (I might actually get to play it this time!)

Beamdog will have Precursors and White Gold fan patches and fixes delivered from their client so there will be no need to fiddle with those oneself, which will be convenient. Gonna wait until Beamdog puts them up for a silly 75% sale, particularly for Precursors.

I'm pretty sure you missed that sale. But if I were you, I wouldn't wait for their version. At least in my case their client was more hassle than anything else. Despite specifying a specific directory on my D drive, it simply would not download to it. And I ended up with the game files hidden in at least 3 different places on my C drive.

It was fucking annoying having to go and clean up that mess and it never did download the game in a playable fashion. As such, Beamdog client uninstalled and I'm never touching it again.

nearly the same here... I have 1 game on Beamdog (I won it in a twitter contest), installed it and it seems, that the copy protection is not working at all... it was a RTS, but I was only able to move the very first unit, nothing else... seems to me, that the client is really bad.

They're still pretty pricey though.

THANK YOU ANGIE AND GG!!!

Then I noticed this:
DRM: Starforce
I went to read up on the latest spawn of Starforce, and found that it doesn't use any low level drivers in your system, just requiring activation, at least for web distributed games. Can anyone confirm this?

It might not have the system-trashing bullshit of old. But it does have deactivation limits. Yes, that's right. A limit on the number of times you can deactivate the game. It takes a particularly warped mind to come up with something like that.

Not had any problems with Starforce protected games on GamersGate. Also, you can safely ignore any activation/deactivation limits as GamersGate will issue new activations should you need them.

If you would like to confirm that for yourself, email support. Or ask over Twitter.
Also on GamersGate on Sale I´d like to point you to "Rat Hunter", which is just $5 now.

It is more of a entertainingly WHACK game than it is a good game.
The setting is quite hilarious. I really liked it for $10, already.
Maybe if you liked Chaser and Judge Dredd you like this too.

Also of interest (to me) are "They are Alive!" and "Steam Slug".
But I have no further Info on them. Esp. the first on I am interested in.

UPDATE: judging from several youtube videos, Steam Slug is horrible. Just dull run & gun. and a real bad AI.They either just stand there or run towards you.

"They are Alive!" is budget but seems way more fun.

Everyone should grab Shira Oka from GG's sale. It's a very good game.
