Any GOG Comrades in US could buy Sims 2 Double Deluxe and Sims 2 Free Time exp for me (total 10$)? I would trade with any 10$ game gift from GOG or Paypal

That game should be bought by anyone who has at least a little bit of tyranny running through their veins. In fact at that price it should be bought by those who do not too.

Fortunately D2D are stupid and circumnavigating regional pricing on titles available worldwide is simply a matter of buying them in $ instead.

Except now they add taxes to the $ price when buying from outside the US so you don't save much. In fact you may end up paying a little more than in your home region.

Also note that the last few Aveyond games are episodic.

The order to play those ones in is:

Aveyond - Lord of Twilight
Aveyond - Gates of Night
Aveyond - The Lost Orb
Aveyond - The Darkthrop Prophecy

Do the evils of insanely high VAT know no bounds?

Answer is clearly no.

I don't have a problem with VAT. I have a problem with the calculations being hidden under the 'taxes' banner. It never tells you what rate of tax you are paying or indeed if you are paying it to your local government which I find highly unlikely. It's more likely this is an additional charge added to discourage people from doing exactly what you are recommending.

I tried to get my cousin to claim back the VAT on some games I bought but the Tax Man said that they were not business related, But his honeymoon was apparently O.o

It's not often I get to use the word dastardly, which is a shame. But it certainly applies here.

That said, the EU is very keen to collect VAT from international purchases so there may be at least some legitimacy in that deterrent tax.

Maybe they booked business class seats?

I can't imagine why you would want to. To my knowledge Warband is quite simply superior.

That is what I thought, but there are some mods that are only available for the original M&B, but I am not sure they could justify basically buying it.
