p_mamusz: It's like the Russian/Eastern European publishers/developers live in another dimension. You see numerous unique good games(and lots of trash too ;) - no middle ground) from them every year, but most of them are very rough around the edges, and generally unpolished, and when they have to translate to english, the outcome is disastrous. :S
Purebreed: Agreed!
If they had given Precursors and tight, polished release in the US, it would have been huge. Instead we get a hacked up version of the Russian version. Disappointing I tell ya! =)
There's a few game-save-fatal bugs in White Gold. The current unofficial patches don't work very well with the Beam Dog version.
BUT
If anyone picks this game up, I suggest they do so now at $5 from BeamDog. $30 is too much for it in its current state.
Just realize that the localization is so terrible that it looks like a hacked game at first.
But the game is enjoyable and has a lot to offer.
Unfortunately, I've heard the developer went out of business before they could patch it themselves, is this true?
