fix-cz: "Make the right move" strategy sale on GetGames

http://www.getgamesgo.com/catalogue/browse/Strategy-Sale

Empire, Napoleon, R.U.S.E., Men of War, Civilization 4&5 and more

Don't forget you can switch to $ or € or £ and pick the best price (some games are not being sold for $ though)
avatar
gyokzoli: I like this site since you can buy the games in your choice of currency (USD, GBP or EUR) but for some reasons R.U.S.E. is removed from the list if you change the currency to USD.

And a question:

Which game do you guys recommend to buy?

RUSE or Napoleon/Empire TW. If you say Total War, which one?

I've never played any Total War games before but heard good things about them, although I'm not a fan of empire management. And as I heard, RUSE is a special RTS (RTS, right?). I like both turn based and real time strategy (an tactics) games.
Civilization IV Complete is a steal at that price.

Shogun 2, easily. Rome, second. If only between Napoleon and Empire, if you want more streamlined campaign and just Europe, get Napoleon, if you want a world map and more freedom, Empire.

carnival73: Code "drawn199" gets you Drawn: The Painted Tower for $2 @ Big Fish.

(Not sure how long coupon is valid for)
avatar
bansama: FYI, at $2, that's a steal. Brilliant game. Although if you like achievements and all that, you might want to consider the Steam version (which, unfortunately, is $9.99 ish).
I snagged this Big Fish deal at $2 - makes the second BF game I own. Only problem I have with BF is that you can't backup your games and once BF shuts down, if ever, all your games go with them.

Their client, download and install system works well and is very polished though.

I personally think Anno is the best thing that they're offering right now and I'd be all over it if my PC could run it. I have 1701.

Delixe: D2D is doing 20% off First Person Shooters with the code whodareswins. Trouble is they forgot to validate the code so it comes up as expired...
LOL!

Let me just announce again, though, despite the not so useful FPS deal they have right now, they still have Prey for sale in case anyone is still looking for it.

Prey was pulled from sites recently due to ownership rights squabbles.

Yes, I am wondering this too. I played Boiling Point and it was fun BTW.

It's a good investment if you're looking for a rough diamond of a game. It's nowhere near as buggy as what I've heard about Boiling Point. It's not a faultless game by any means but I was able to play it to completion without too much trouble.

If you're looking for an open world FPS with RPG elements then it's well worth it for that price.
Actually, Boiling Point wasn't all that buggy, at least not to my experience. I guess I'll invest in White Gold then, seems like a nice game :]
Thanks for the info, Navagon!

Thanks for the heads up!
I am totally hooked over Shogun 2. I was not a fan of Total war at all, but don't know why out of a sudden decided to get it. It's an amazing game!
Just bought Empire gold from the site you linked. I was wondering which to choose Napoleon or Empire, but a member here said Empire is bigger and there is more freedom.
Lets hope I will like it. :) I am going to play it same time with Shogun 2.

Oh and any idea where those game files are downloaded? Althou I think the game is Steam, so no need to make a backup of them. Anyway would be nice to know where are they so atleast I can delete them. :)

should be something like c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common or similar
Hmm.. I think the files are downloading somewhere else. Probably after the download finish they are going to install in Steam. :)
I should search for them after all the download ends.

add me on steam, prakaa, maybe we could play shogun 2 in the gog clan together!

Yeah Empire is more open, but napoleon is definitely more polished. A lot of the new features in Napoleon carried onto Shogun 2
Am I screwed with Empire for not getting Napoleon instead?

I could add you, but I am afraid to play online and to be honest I don't have much time and passion to get good. :) I am pretty new to Total war. :) Shogun 2 is my first full TW game. Shame they allow to customize your avatar in multi only.
I am playing on easy :P

I have SC2, Warhammer all games, Company of Heroes, WC3, Red Alert3, CnC3 and many many others older strategy games and I have never played a single one of them against real players lol
My online experience is only with my best friend via AI.

It's not like Empire is shit....so you are not screwed. Napoleon is more tight and small i n scope. My view, Empire is better because of the more choices.
