shadearg: Mount and Blade can be registered on Steam.

jlg6184: The GamersGate version or in general?
No caveats are listed on the official list of Steam Retail CD Keys.

jlg6184: Any idea if Crysis can registered to EADM, or if Mount and Blade can be registered to Steam?

EDIT: In regards to the GamersGate versions.
For crysis, if the key is in format of xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-... then yes. If it's xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-... then no. Simply put, just try it. It'll either add the game or tell you the key is in the wrong format.
Shadowgrounds is on GOG now, and Survivor should be here soon, however, given that GOG sales don't usually discount much (if the wednesday sales don't return, I think it will take a long time for us to see another 75% off), it will probably be a long time for the price to match that.

I also recommend Tank Universal. It's still in my backlog, but I liked the demo. You can always try it too.

Not to mention that with GG's versions, you also get some Blue Coins. ;)

Whatever happened to the sequel I wonder.
That's probably one of my biggest issues with Gamersgate. 5 Year anniversary sale and off all the titles on sale I barely recognize a few, barely any particularly interest me, and the ones that might have (if I had not had them already) aren't really discounted to a point where I would have bought them anyway :/

Hope Academagia shows up in the coming weeks with a decent-good sale.

Just because you don't care about most of the games that are on sale doesn't mean someone, somewhere wasn't hoping for them to be.
GG having lots of obscure, hard to find elsewhere games (mostly indie and from Eastern Europe) is objectively one of their good points.

As for Academagia, they had it on sale about 2 or 3 months ago, so I doubt it will be discounted again anytime soon. It was worth full price for me, but then again it's definitely not for everyone, so I can't tell whether you would like it.

Don't consider that list final. Knowing GG, they will add more games to their sale during the week.

The point here being that to attract customers it's good to have games on sale people actually know. I applaud the array of fairly unknown games they have as a fact in itself, very much. But on a 5 year anniversary sale I kind of expect a BANG, if you know what I mean.

There are plenty of big titles there, although still the minority.

It's a 4-5 week sale with each week having new games to the sale list.

People need to relax.
For anybody interested in getting Thief: The Dark Project on GamersGate, or anybody who already has but couldn't be bothered to circumvent this, the game is DRM free, but GamersGate, of course, prefers to make things difficult.

Instead of simply changing the launch file to an installer while running, it changes launch into an installer and back for a split second. They want you to rely on their own installer and "call home" for a supposedly DRM free game. The good news is, I've made a handy batch file which makes copying the "setup.exe" file easy.

Just save the attached image as a batch file (rename from "ggcopy.jpg" to "ggcopy.bat") and place it in the folder that contains all the other temporary files. You can do this manually if you're quick, but this method is foolproof. Thief: The Dark Project is fully DRM free if you do this.

I'm a little confused on what your trying to say. I'm also trying to comprehend your batch file. You delete setup.exe from c:\ and then copy the local setup.exe to c:\. So what's the point of the loop exactly if you've already instructed it to copy the new setup file to c:\? That if statement will always be true otherwise you'll get an error said file is missing at the start of the loop when you first go to copy and the program will fail.

WHERE ARE THE DEALS IN THIS THREAD?!?!!?!?!?

Too much jabber, not enough linkage/goodies.
I'm hoping some digital store, somewhere, is going to have a DA:O sale this week to coincide with the release of DA2.

I'm thinking Steam will probably have one.
