hedwards: It's not a question of it being small, it's a question of it not being present on the page at all.
You didn't even look at the box art?

(Although the box art is out of date as that requirement has been dropped - but technically, the information is displayed)

It's definitely there on the box art, but how many people actually look at it that closely, and is it reasonable to expect people to do so?

That being said, I see no issue with it being at the bottom of the information page. Classic case of Caveat Emptor. The customer should make sure they read all info available before purchasing (this goes for anything, not just games). I, for one, always make sure I read the fine print when it comes to games. I'm always wary of what kind of DRM may be on a title after having been bitten by it a couple times.

Very few. But then that's why I never mentioned it in my first response. But *technically* it is there. But the whole point is mute as the "Always on" DRM requirement is no longer true. It simply needs it when starting the game -- this is no different to when you use Steam in online mode for example. And it's certainly something that any potential buyer can find out for themselves prior to purchase.

And before the inevitable "but people shouldn't have to do research before buying" response, that may be so, but it's never wise to buy anything without fully researching what it is you are actually buying -- regardless of what you are buying.

But that aside, if you want the DE version of ACB for $39.95 (instead of the probable $59.95 it will be after release) then a few minutes with Google/Wikipedia (if you don't know the answers) to get a $9.99 discount code, is a fairly good deal and one I fully took advantage of.

Wholeheartedly agreed. I personally always google a game's name + DRM to find out whether they're using some abominable scheme or something reasonable. It's generally the first thing I search when I see a game I may be interested in.
Seriously off topic, but a few short opinions on Magicka would be good. I would practically grab this game for that Vietnam expansion

+Very funny story
+Best magic system in a game ever

-Frustrating Spamfest trial and error gameplay as you cannot save during a level (but I guess that's part of the challenge).

Dude, get it and hit me up for some multiplayer!

As a strictly SP gamer, with limited time, I gave up on it. If you have lots of free time or intend to play MP, you'll probably get a lot more out of it.
Bunch of various games on sale this week @ Gamersgate. Of note are Arkham Asylum, Amnesia and the Thief games. Then, there are also a bunch of adventure games from Anuman Interactive.
$10 for Arkham Asylum is tempting, but I thought the demo sucked horribly. My buddy tells me it gets a lot better, but I dunno.

If you like third person action adventure games, get it. It's very well done.

The atmosphere in Arkham Asylum is brilliant, i'd say it's well worth it.
So i have an extra humble bundle #1 steam key, i'm really itching for new stuff to play right now so i figure i'll trade it for some games. I can't imagine someone here not having the first humble bundle but i'll give it a try anyway otherwise i guess i'll find a poor orphan on the street and give it to him.
Looks like Gamersgate updated their special offers catalogue!

It is VERY well worth it, game of the year, all years. At least until Arkham City is released.

Hell, just the Scarecrow segments are worth it.

Play with two or three people to have the MOST FUN YOU'LL EVER HAVE in a multiplayer game. And then steal their M60]/Excalibur/Master Sword.
