sebarnolds: It doesn't matter. Its current trade value on GMG is 0.01€ but it will likely go up again. And then, you'll be able to trade it against another game. I already did it with one of their promo (free game when you register) and I was able to "purchase" Alpha Protocol with the trade value of the previous game which I never played. Alpha Protocol was a Steam key, therefore I never had to do anything with their Capsule client.

Damuna: And there's my incentive. Thank you.

Please, please tell me you are joking. If that offended you then you might as well stick to buying retail games. Unless you are buying DRM free from GOG then you will see similar activation screens from almost any product from any download service.

I fully understand those who don't want DRM at all but don't make out that that SecuROM activation is anything unusual.

I don't remember exactly the details but it was when they started they offered one game among selected titles. Their website had a hard time managing the load.

[EDIT I checked my old mails and it was in May 2010 [/EDIT]

Oh sweet! Nice find man, thanks!
GMG's capsule client kind of ruins it. I'll pass and just pay for it from a service I like.

Sort of offtopic but does anyone know of a site or forum somewhere where they keep track of App deals rather than games?

Been thinking of getting some apps like Fences for instace (awesome app) but I'm still a bargain hunter :)

Coelocanth: While I didn't exactly hate it, that was one of two games that were highly regarded and recommended that I just didn't enjoy very much. The other was Torchlight.
avatar
Delixe: I was the same with Torchlight as well. Waited months for it to pop up on a sale and then didn't see what all the fuss was about. It's better than Braid though. Not sure why I hated it, it was probably just a combination of things. Actually no I think it was the art style. It was trying way too hard to be beautiful and different and just came across as pretentious and ugly. IMO of course.
Torchlight neither took the comic approach far enough (like the superior Deathspank did) nor stuck to the more gritty grimdark feel of Diablo 1. The middle ground it cut made it very uncompelling.

Thank you! Though I liked the graphics in terms of quality, the whole presentation wasn't just good enough due to the same reason you just said. For me, where Borderlands succeeded, Torchlight failed.
