I thought Braid was alright. The puzzle design is fairly clever, but for whatever reason, most of the puzzles just weren't that much fun to figure out. I'm not quite sure why.

The writing was just a disaster. I laughed out loud a few times.

All in all, though, I don't regret purchasing it for $5.

Coelocanth: While I didn't exactly hate it, that was one of two games that were highly regarded and recommended that I just didn't enjoy very much. The other was Torchlight.

Delixe: I was the same with Torchlight as well. Waited months for it to pop up on a sale and then didn't see what all the fuss was about. It's better than Braid though. Not sure why I hated it, it was probably just a combination of things. Actually no I think it was the art style. It was trying way too hard to be beautiful and different and just came across as pretentious and ugly. IMO of course.
Agreed with braid, but I find torchlight to be quite fun, though I haven't played too much of it yet, and the mods look nice.

I got Spellforce 2 Gold anyway just to get the complete collection so I'd suggest getting Universe if you don't have any of them.

Haven't installed 2 yet but can say that the first one with expansion is pretty good.

Yeah, thats exactly what i did. Just bought Universe. Figured might as well grab them now while their pretty cheap. Wish i would have caught the past weekend C&C sale..been meaning to get C&C3 & Kanes Wrath again. My C&C games have a odd habit of becoming suddenly and strangely scratched, no idea how cause i do take care of my stuff.

A few of us here were hurting during those Christmas sales. I watched Doom 3, Ghost Recon Collection and Neverwinter Nights all fly by.
