JudasIscariot: Well, I would say "install the other one" but I'd recommend holding off anything for now since I've indirectly broken your Linux install once :/

This is a bit beyond me so a Support ticket will have to do :)

But I do remember I had the same issue with the Witcher 2... but I don't have Witcher 2 downloaded right now to install. But I remember a member of the community created a zip file with the required packages and I dropped that straight into the Witcher 2 directory. It was the only way I could get it to work on Mint 17 Cinnamon.

If that download is still up, I grab that package and drop into M&B.
edit 2: you can try the following command, shouldn't break your system this time I promise :)

sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get update

then

sudo apt-get upgrade

I had this edit in an earlier post so I am posting it in case you missed it :)

What gets me is why does that particular library cause so much trouble? I mean I installed it on my home system and I never saw it tell me I needed that libwayland library. I wonder if anyone else running Mint 17.1 Cinnamon experiences this.

I don't know but even if I type libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 in the software manager it won't let me install it because even it list that Cinnamon is removed along with a butch of other packages.

edit: It might be related to running 64bit.

Can you take a screenshot of that? If you press PrintScreen you should get a Snapshot dialog box to open up :)

A few months ago I created a simple compilation of libraries to avoid a few problems and possibly messing up the system. This is the link to the thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/mount_blade_series/mount_blade_warband_linux_mint_easy_setup

Simply extract the archive in your main M&B Warband folder (merge folders if it asks for it) and run the game using the start.sh file. If you have the correct video card drivers the game will run instantly :-)

EDIT:

Tested on Linux Mint 17 and 17.1

Ganni. Thanks was just talking about you... as you fixed this last time for me with the Witcher 2. The files were not up though. Thanks man.

This needs an official fix too though. :)

Hmmm it's doing something now, but it's still not working right. See attached pic, that is what happens when I launch it.

Can you run it through the terminal and upload a screenshot of the log please?

Also, I have edited the post you linked with a working library regarding the Witcher 2, my ftp isn't the best place and I have since moved everything to my google drive.
